What a great moment in musical theater. I was lucky enough to see Lucie and Robert in L.A. when the show first open to gasps and thunderous applause. The only thing that amazes me is why she didn't become a much bigger star. She was a joy to watch on stage!!!

I remember this fro the Tonys and have wanted to see it again for so long. I saw this show on opening night just before Valentine's Day 1979. I remember Lucy was there in the lobby (the Imperial, not the Majestic) beaming. I have a pic of me with her somewhere. Great night.
Later I went again to the show. A matinee. Lucie & Rob really Sold it that day. The woman next to me was 'grooving' in her seat. When the lights came up it was instant recognition. It was Ingrid Bergman!!

I absolutely love this performance. And, perhaps more importantly, I absolutely love to see Lucie Arnaz Luckinhill and her brother Desi Arnaz Jr together. What I like about their performance together, it is like reflecting on their parents' live performance back in the 1940s and 1950s.

One of my ALL TIME favorite Bway musicals. Why has no one ever revived this lovely show.

We have identified the talents of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz during the making of the " I Love Lucy" show back in the 1950s. However, I cannot stress this enough but their daughter Lucie Arnaz's musical is fantastic. Referring back to Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, I would like to state that their son Desi Jr is natural talent also. This, of course, is due to the fact how the Arnazes kids have been around the entertainment business at such young age as to develop such talent.

One of my all time favorites. Saw Robert Klein and Lucie Arnaz perform this show in Los Angeles at the Shubert Theater. Listen to the CD all the time. Great music.

I saw the pre-Broadway run in LA; my sister was in the pit. I ADORED it. So lovingly tongue in cheek, the whole book and show.

I also saw this on Broadway with original cast and knew the album by heart! Love these two! I recently saw Lucy stopping the show, starring in Pippin and she is just as gorgeous, funny and fearless, singing while being hilarious in a high circus act.. Some things don't change!

Fantastic clip! Never saw the show, but after seeing this one bit on the Tony's, I immediately picked up the cast album, which I quickly wore out. It was good to see this number again.

I loved this musical!!! What a shame that it hasn't been done again and that there isn't clearer footage of it. Thanks so much for posting it!

What a shame that all great Broadway shows are not taped for posterity. Think of some of the great performances that are lost. Really, really stupid. I would pay a small forture to buy copies.
