I think Ant-Man and the Wasp was a worthy successor too. Ant-Man in the MCU works when it dedicates itself to being super silly but still being confident in its serious moments and having humor that isn't entirely reliant on the typical quippy style. The first two Ant-Man films had the formula but they were a bit more unique because they had a good amount of charm, wit, and humor more based on visual gags, farces, and slapstick. Quantamania felt as if Ant-Man was just being absorbed into the whole casual MCU comedy shtick and it removes a lot of the fun as a result. Marvel needs to stop trying to build up to something so big. Just let heroes have a good amount of time to chill and discover themselves before rushing to the Multiverse or Secret Wars. Wanna know what the better recent films like Shang-Chi, Wakanda Forever, and Far From Home had in common? They were films all about character exploration and entirely new, sealed stories. Not mega build up to the next End Game.

When Paul Rudd took this role i expected something of Fantastic Four (the one with Evans) and kinda expected him to be goofy and sort of a dork. True enough he did but seeing how the character change and was played....they couldnt ask for a better Ant Man. This was a very good show and I really liked how they did the shrink/expand fights...they were fun, crazy and also well played out. Loved this movie and still do

Instead of M.O.D.O.K, MCU could've sent another more dangerous Yellow Jacket from another dimension looking to kill other Ant-Men across the multiverse and still their particles(since he's a Yellow Jacket that can shrink without tech).
