GA08GT the cars in general have very little support. There isn't a whole lot of support for any of it including the engines. You can get things for them but you don't have many options. Basically you have one company that make each part so you can only get that or nothing.

A guy I worked with bought a brand new silver Conquest TSi and blew it up, then crashed it. Next he bought a new Fiji blue Conquest TSi to replace it. That color combo and wide body style look good to this day. I'm not sure of the numbers, but back then I remember seeing a lot more Conquests than Starions, so nowadays, I'm sure you have a rare beast. Killer car! This video took me back. I've owned a few of the Conquest's/Starion's - loved 'em, wasted a lot of money back in the 90's and early 2000's trying to build a nice one. This one sure is very unique - that engine, oh my - and is the same color as the last Starion I owned back in 2003.

Back in the early 80s I was wrenching hard and blowing up my Datsun 510, the O.G. import tuner car. Most fun I've ever had and still doing it 35 yrs laster.
James Palmer they are the same car. Both the conquest and Starion were made by Mitsubishi. But it was cheaper to import under the Chrysler name as they were an American company. So Mitsubishi imported them under the Starion and Chrysler conquest.
Great looking Starion, and a decent lump in it too! Takes me back to when we had one in the family as a company car and watching them race in the British touring Cars. Always fancied one of these. Nice work 👍

Nicely done Sir! I have an 86 EXTRA wide body that I'm building now, should have the motor installed in about 6 weeks or so! Can't wait to finally get her on the road 🤤 it's been a work in progress for a long time now, and I'm going for 650-850 at the wheels. I will have to change out the front wheels though after I got them they are staggered but a bit more meat on the front will help in the long run I think 😁 I'll post the video of the build when it's done.

I owned a 87 conquest tsi radiant fire red,bought it new in NY got stolen in NJ ,never found it.That car got more looks than anything on the street back then.I MISS THAT CAR.
Nice Video! I had two of these cars in my life. I had a 1989 Sliver Conquest TSI that I rolled, it was mint. Second one was a 1987 Blue Conquest TSI which I kept for a while. Ended up blowing the headgasket and having to rebuild the turbo. I also put H&R springs, Tokico Struts and ST swaybards. It handled great, but that 2.6 just sucked. I did a blowoff valve to up the PSI which helped.
Finally after 3 1/2 yrs. of beating on my conquest i fucked off putting coolant in it and it froze e nights ago. i started it i smelled oil then steam and shut it off. now it sits in a puddle of water and rotela t. i nearly cried and ive been considering selling or burning it...i watched this and now im fooled into thinking i can do this! thanks mike!

I remember a dude in Warner Robins Ga had a 1jz in his look just like this one. remember seeing it at import showdown. My buddy Tim sold him the 1j.. the car was sweet.
Drake Riggins it is Braden's old motor. He picked up a 2j and had it in the silver car. I drove down there and helped him switch from the silver chassis to the red chassis.

Had a white Conquest as my first car...I'd love to buy another one day. I did Tokico Gas Struts, H&R Springs, Suspension Techniques Anti-Sway bars, Greedy Cat-back, Random Technology high flow cat, strut braces, intake. Not much on the performance side, but it handled like a slot car. Driving an Audi S4 these, but still not quite as fun in some respects.

The 4g54 was a fairly weak motor. The 4g63 sohc was a more reliable motor. The one to get is the 4g63 12 valve Dash motor.
