  • Star Wars The Power of the Force Kenner Electronic X-WING and TIE FIGHTER were the quintessential vehicles for the 1996 return of Star Wars to the toy shelf. Modeled after the original 1978 versions, there are some upgrades and downgrades depending on your thoughts. No longer are there ancient motors inside. The TIE has no electronics, but the X-Wing is upgraded with real movie sounds. We take a close look at these toys in this retro review.

I dig these flying vehicles. Very similar to its 70s counterparts. Very good for display than for playing.

I got more of these for my nephews in the Philippines and they really loved them: ruclips.net/video/N3o3AvcaES0/видео.html

I would love to just add the 90’s SW new re-released ships and vehicles to my vintage SW collection but I don’t hav room. But they are so kool

They fit in well with the scale figures and still look pretty good. That's my issue also, there isn't much space for them so I have to be very careful choosing ships.

Altough I'm making my own action figures and vehicles from various series on the 1/6 scale, i really loved the scale used for SW, and even with figures this little, the vehicles can be HUGE!

I have to kind of avoid the "Vintage Collection" vehicles because they are so crazy big.

Love the ships, hate the look of 90's figures

The ships work with any 3.75 inch Star Wars figure for the most part so they can still work for a few things. The figures are not for everyone, ha ha ha. But people still love the originals, so some people have the 90's as their first Star Wars figures. I can still appreciate them in some ways.

Very nice and interesting video I kinda regret not buying them back in 95 since I have the original ships.
The tie fighter is interesting since it doesn’t have stickers on the wings.
As for the x-wing they did a good job of weathering the ship.
I just hope finding them for cheap to add in my collection especially the millennium falcon

Weirdly all the ships keep a high price on re-sale over the figures.

@@francoisregis2155 Not crazy price, but not dirt cheap either unless they are missing a lot of their parts, from what I've seen searching a few times, but I have most of the vehicles I wanted already.

Cool I recently got a tie fighter from Solo (10$ 🇨🇦)
But Im still on the lookout for at least 3 vehicles The Falcon, Tie and x-wing
But like I said Im not in a hurry or desperatly need them since I have the originals plus the newer versions Hasbro made like the big Falcon in 2008
