      Whilst there may be some similarities, these scale rules go further than that because they show you when to add extra notes and when not to. This video only goes into the simple rules. There are extended rules (with more extra notes) too.

    You follow the rule of the starting note. That’s how Barry explains it. You almost lost me in your explanation on the example starting from 2 on why you didn’t use the extra note. Keep it simple.
