The year is 2035, Uncle Dane has run out of good TF2 Maps to do Engineer's Blueprints on. Thousands of hungry fans wait as Uncle Dane releases The Engineer's Blueprints: 2Fort
Ah, the script for The Engineer's Blueprints: 2Fort: "Build your sentry on the balcony overlooking courtyard right in the doorway to barn. Put your dispenser in barn in the doorway to the stairs. Teleporters aren't entirely useful, but if you want to get some decent use out of them put your entrance right outside the battlements spawn door and place the exit in a haypile in barn so that your teammates don't have to peak a sniper sightline or drop down into back hallway to get to barn. This setup will completely lock down your side of the map and make it almost impossible to break through, though make sure to keep an eye on courtyard for any demomen or soldiers that try to kill your sentry with splash damage. (insert outro)"
I really love being able to build on roofs it just adds a lot of sneaky spots and makes engi a lot more fun than just picking from 2 good spots on each choke.
One thing I love about the Engineer is that you essentially get to control your team. You can choose where the team holds from with your teleporter, and where they retreat to with your dispenser. It makes you feel important and essentially makes you Team Leader.
Hey man I just found your channel today and I wanna say all these blueprints are truly amazing! It's obvious how much insight into these maps you have and how dedicated you are to engineering. Especially helpful too is your advice on using teleporters to "direct" teammates to certain areas. Your intonation and speaking voice is also very pleasant. Thank you for making these. I greatly anticipate the next episode.
I like to put my Sentry right next to the tracks on the last point where it won’t get destroyed when the train goes past right where the stairs are with a Dispenser blocking the entrance to those stairs, so a Spy doesn’t try to sneak past. I found that spot really effective and probably as effective as putting the Sentry on the usual spot on last outside spawn.
Hmmm... He sounds alright but I'd probably check if he combusts when listening to Uncle Dane's mixtape just to be sure. It'd be a pretty shitty Cocoa break if they explode into flames halfway through and ruin a decent pair of drinks.
I love the mini sentries in bushes (when they're mine, at least). Once, I put a mini in a bush on a payload map and got like 20 kills before it died then I just got my frontier justice with 20 crits and destroyed the enemy team... That was a fun match.
glad to see this series make a comeback. while i am a spy main, i still do enjoy playing engineer every now and then and these kinds of tips help me out alot!
Man THIS is why I love your channel. It’s not just fun gameplay, it’s showcasing all these various strategies that vary on situation, meta, and pub fun.
Thanks for the new Engineer's Blueprint. I can't imagine how much work goes into these videos, but I can say that I was one of those "Pub Spot" Engi's Thanks for giving me a new look on the map. Perhaps a new Blueprint of a map like Badwater and circle around in a cycle of Payload, then Koth, and then Attack/Defend maps?
Maps to do in the future(idea). Attack/Defend: Dustbowl Gorge Mountain Lab CTF: 2fort (You don't have to build in intel to be effective.) Doublecross Control Points: Metalworks 5Gorge Well KoTH: Badlands Harvest Sawmill Nucleus Suijin Payload: Badwater Enclosure Frontier Thundermountain Goldrush Other: Snowplow Doomsday Watergate
I don’t understand why some people don’t like Mossrock. It’s such a good map, visually and gameplay-wise. There are a couple of issues like the long sight lines on the first point, but other than that this map is incredible.
Broken Videos Because it used to not be this green and sniper lines are very strong with little to hide except for a single path and engie are also strong due to big open areas and high spots. Second area is half push and fail, half train push win.
Very well put together video dane i really like it. You are one of the reasons that makes casual fun to play( which is probably the exact oposite of what you are trying to do)
There is also a cheeky Sentry spot on Defense last. You can put a sentry behind the box that is located under Toxic and next to the rail track. it can cover 50% of the point and it has a small opening on the lower. Level 2 works best for it because it is so hard to hit from the point, but it is still easy to destroy from lower. Not a practical spot, but it can catch others by surprise.
Y'know what would be cool? a wrench (I call it the Monkey Wrench) that lets you build sentries and dispensers on walls, but not on the ground. To spice things up, yeah?
Maybe some stats could be + Can build sentries and dispensers on walls -Cannot place sentries and dispensers on floors +Increased build speed by 50% -Maximum sentry and dispensers level is 2 - -25% damage + 30% swing speed Just an idea for stats, these can be changed but I like your idea so I figured I’d flesh out some ideas for stats
A sentry spot that i love on the last point is to place it in front of the tree, aiming the flank and the shutters (and also offers a support fire toward the balcony). With the dispenser on the wall nearby and and a team who help you hold the position and deal with the spies it's very tricky to the attacking team to push through, thanks to the absence of blind spots and the view to the point in case of a spy decide to back cap. The only real weak points is that's a spot who need to be built early, need a good team support, and a simple sap with a coordinated push can annihilate the nest.
not sure if you're taking this into consideration when choosing which map to make a video on, but i feel like this kind of informative video would be excellent for maps in competitive rotations. now obviously you have to keep the variety so it doesn't get stale, but i thought that i should mention that newer players who are trying to get into comp would find these videos very helpful.
I've always enjoyed putting my defensive sentry on last between the two lower entryways to last. More often than not toxic gets a lot of attention so I can always rely on the bulk of my team keeping an eye on things there. They often avoid the sniper sight line because, well, snipers. And the center door is sometimes ignored by a lot of my fellow defenders. I've had good experience with plopping a sentry down between those two doors to catch cheeky scouts and flanking classes off guard looking to take advantage of everyone's attention being the far-right side of the map.
I don't know if I've missed the window for you to see this comment, but if I havn't: Uncle Dane, you are the primary, if not only reason i first installed TF2, and it has become my favorite game of all time, so for introducing us all to this lovably broken game, I thank you.
I normally don't like playing this map, I usually have trouble, but now I feel like trying these out, I hope I can get some fun out of this map now knowing some of these spots.
Its over Anakin I have the highground *you underestimate my power* Edit:So eh the placements actually made me win alot of games on Mossrock.Im lvl 24 in casual thanks alot Uncle
I found a cozy little defensive sentry spot not mentioned in the video: On last in the middle of the area behind the rocks. It punishes anyone trying to sneak onto the point or use the wooden ramp while being too low for most sightlines to spam.
I once saw a guy on offence build his sentries under the second point - before the first point was capped, and when it was capped, he tried to do that shit like atleast 10 more times and i swear i was the only one actually trying to kill his stuff *yes it worked out really well for him*
I've found that building a sentry behind the rock watching the garage door on last is a decent move. I typically place a tele exit behind a garage door as an early warning
You know what would be interesting? A control point map that counts up, and the teams are timed in attack and defend. Whoever wins, gets the better time on either. If it tied, then it leads to an arena mode map
i ahve seen the entire series of engineer´s blueprint and taked notes, but even i know very well it doesn´t matter how much i know if i don´t use it correctly so at least i can try to be the greatest engineer for my team
Placing a red sentry behind tree or around under on last is a good wildcard play or a perfect spot for a second sentry, but be careful under attracts a lot of spies.
Build between rail entry and toxic exit over point. There is space for team to take cover and it covers a great deal of point and prevents a number of peaks and push attempts. Explosive attacks won't be as effective against you unless they get in a lucky aimed crit or an effective uber. Spys and flanks below point are your only significant threat and with a trickle of conscientious players leaving by the main door you'll get a decent team support.
This is a very narrow strip, not swept out by the train and is commonly ignored. It's possible spys are most aware of this area as it's out of the way and most players won't favor that area in fear of train and inferior cover. It's only the presence of a sentry and dispenser in this location that make it useful and difficult to address by blu.
On defense above the 1st main you can also build on the stairs above, i like to jump up their and put a lvl 3 for 2 or 3 cheeky kills, then rescue ranger it away, or if i want to flank and most people know about the flank tele spots these days, it usually works.

It's been a year Uncle, when will there be another Engineer's blueprints? I love these!
But Uncle Dane, where are the best spots to enjoy some of your famous hot Cocoa?
It's not _WHERE_ you have it, it's _WHO_ you have it with. A sneaky frenchman makes for a poor Cocoa drinking session.
Hmmm... What about a fellow Texan Ranger with just happens to wear a suit and a ski mask, who's behind me right now with a knife?

Broken Videos also due to how close spawn is to the Cp, normally if you kill someone more will come before you can get the CP.
The last point is incredibly easy to defend. It's almost as bad as Dustbowl if not worse.
Broken Videos it’s really hard for blu to push last.
