Jason Billam Travel its a great video brother
JASON BILLAM TRAVEL can you tell me name the name of cloth market you showed in the beginning of this video
JASON BILLAM TRAVEL Visit North East India
Bro poha is 10-50rs and juice is under 50 rs total 100 if you visit 5star lol 370 rs is much much
I think you should have used uber instead of an auto it would cost the same auto guys might charge a lot especially because you are white
My experience from visiting India is you can get really cheap food and all depends upon the restaurant and the locality.
Here is what I paid for the similar food Jason ordered.
1. Breakfast - Poha (Rs 15) + Juice (Rs 30) (Street food)
2. Dal Makhani+ Paneer+Rice + 3x Bread (Roti) - Rs 170 (Restaurant)
3. Paneer Butter Masala+Rice - Rs 240 (Restaurant)
4. Tea (without sugar - special tea) - Rs 10 and with sugar (Rs 7)
I used Zomato app for ordering food at times, that gave me a further 20-20% off from the same restaurant.
Travel Tip: It's a bonus if you have a local friend.
Yar, I think Paharganj can be much more pricey at some places because it is so touristy. Now that I’m further into my trip in India I’ve learned that you can find similar food much cheaper than this, so I’ll hopefully be making another one of these videos with a bit more background knowledge!
Jason Billam Travel : Yes, that will be great for all the viewers mate. I'm planning to visit India again next year. This time around will be visiting the north east ;) .
PS: Love your vlogs, keep them posted.
Cheers !!
when you come plz you also make some videos and share experience ...
The talents: Im more of a still photographer mate, making a vlog is not my cuppa tea. But I can always share my experience on Jason's or other RUclipsr's vlogs :)
JASON BILLAM TRAVEL Paharganj is not expensive , just that you should know the right places and also should have an idea about the prices of a country , but still a job well done .also Zomato sometimes shows only pricey restaurant , sometimes swiggy is better showing all the local shops plus nothing better than scouting the shops on foot
Delhi Metro is cheap, and not costlier than ola or uber. But, it can be crowded as hell sometimes..
Next time, I suggest that you travel with a local friend.
I'm an Indian and I know that salesmen of tiny shops ( esp novelty items and clothes) hike up the prices when they see a foreigner.
I accompanied a friend from London around North India once, everytime she enquired the cost it would be at least double the amount they would tell a local.
But thank you for showing how beautiful India is!
bro they do to localities also ,you much need market value ,bargain then for less value than market value, automatically they will come to market price.
I think the prices quoted by the shopkeeper were reasonable
You decide something to buy first, then haggle the price down. Lol that's what i learnt in Delhi haha
Jerusha Jose exactly
Jerusha Jose that's pretty cool options befor visiting India look for an local friends they explore u more about places culture food and everythig and i guess It'd more cheap coz just imagine u can get full stomach food in only $1. So best look for an local friend
Rs 370 for Poha and Orange Juice ? God.. I'm Indian and I can buy a whole week of Grocery, Fruits and Snacks with that money lol..
By the way, I thought this might be useful to any Foreigner reading this - You can use "Big Basket", Its an Online Indian Store similar to Wall-mart, that delivers anything you want to anywhere in India (Ideal to order things to your Hotel, If you are too tired to head outside).
You can order Online and get anything in 2 hours, The only drawback is it exist only in Top 10 major cities in India.
Just another Atheist maybe in the slum you live in
@Cannibal NO. He's saying the truth. Maximum for Poha is around 30 Rs and for orange juice 50-70 Rs. Total would be under 100 Rs. He paid 370 Rs which is way too much high.
Here in Indore. It's 5rs for poha
Priyabrata Mohapatra vaise im logo ke pass duniya bhat ke paise hai..tabhi tu bar india is cheap bolte rehte . Agar inse ek 370 rs poha aur juse tu eko koi farak nahi padta..
It depends on where u r going
& many online food website work in small cities too
You've earned my respect with your passionate journey in India. Now I understand why tourists deserve lot of respect from the the local people. You add values to our locality along with your journey.

I LOVE your videos so much. I am going back to India for the 4th time this January. Your videos are so impressive because you did them solo and by yourself, and they really really capture what India is like. I am going to Burma Feb 2020 based on your videos. Keep them coming!
Hey Jason, nice video. just for your information, Uber and Ola cabs are much expensive than Delhi Metro..so Delhi metro is the cheapest way to get around the city.
paid too much for the food........5 pounds are enough for a day......
Not for everyone.
Hey why did you copy my name . Really
When White meets Brown some Pounds will definitely Drown.
Yes I told him same ....they tagged him 5 star rates lol

Come to northeast India you will love it 😍 here
kausik das Assam, but I stay in Delhi
northeast is way better than delhi especially sikkim and assam
+Tech Boy I think shillong, manipur and assam are the best place to visit☺☺☺
I'm from Bengal and I can agree, North east is among the most beautiful places of India...
Not all of us, many of us are more accepting then we appear.

Thanks for showing real India.....
200 is alot for a breakfastnornal indian breakfast costs max 60 rs

Hope to c more of your vids.i went to Agra, Jaipur, mcleodganj and now currently in goa.i am sure you will visit these places.cheers 😀
Been to India and almost everyone thinks foreigners are loaded with cash. Best to have a local with you because they double or triple the price when they know you a foreigner
Hey Jason, first of all you are too cute with always having a smile on your face. Thank you so much for coming and exploring our country in such a beautiful way. I've seen most of your videos and you never complained about anything. India has a lot of things you could have complained about but you chose to show the positive and good sides of everything which people rarely do. Thank you for adjusting with everything. Maybe you're having the best tour vlogs on RUclips. Keep visiting our country again. If possible come to the Eastern and North East part. These places have a lot to explore. We love you! ❤
Thank you for visiting the countries worldwide and bringing the beauties in front of our eyes.
The Poha you had was really expensive, you can get a decent plate of poha in just 30 rupees anywhere on the streets and a glass of orange juice for about 20 rupees, and street food is much better than the food in fancy restaurants 😊
Food in delhi to try
-chhole bhature
-golgappe
-aloo tikki
- pao bhaji
-biryani
-punjabi thali
- rasmalai
- jalebi
-rasgulla
at 2:12 when he pans up the camera and they're all just starring at him
Wtf 500INR for red fort ? .. it used to be like 35INR .. may be 500INR is for non Indians.. still it's terrible ... It's like ripping off foreigners.. I mean 500 is way too much.
gaming singh that's unfair
Bro it is always like that .I remember 10 years ago I went of TajMahal in Paid 40 Rs per person but for non-Indians it was 700 Rs.But ,that is OK because both Taj Mahal and Red Fort are UNSECO worlds heritage site,so $10 or £6 not bad deal at all.
Fortunately these videos only provide a visual, if you could only smell the air and humidity where he is you wouldn’t get past 30 seconds
You should come to mumbai its way better than delhi and other cities you will get bigger rooms
excellent video
I love my country forever......
proud being an indian
Rickshaw take rs10 per journey. For long journey (3-5km) they will charge you 30-40 rs. For food you should try street food. They will give you great taste at mind-blowing prices.
Colourful landscapes of India.loved the Panorama scenes!
Love from Pakistan
Please visit Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and West Bengal.
These are North Eastern states with panaromic scenic beauty, exotic Mountain sports, River Sports,Jungle Safaries.
It will take only a month to visit all these places if planned properly.
Awesome Jason...God bless and be safe...Aloha.

Thank you for sharing this helpful video!
loved your video , amazing work
Awesome video. Hope you had a great time here. I was wondering if you could make like a comparison video of similar commodities in the UK, I mean for people who might want to visit. Thanks
Hi Janos,I from ROMÂNIA and i love your video...do you like ROMANIA?do you visit only Bucharest and Brasov?
ROMANIA MARE a vizitat
Love Romania, From India.
You have a beautiful Nation, Some places of Romania are like Heaven on Earth !
Indian fam where are u.....
The sweet is known to be rasagula
Very nice
poha is in 10 Rupees every where, but u pay 370 rupees. its too much
Poha + Juice for INR. 370 ? Do you have the picture of the menu card showing the rate ?
No I don't, but that was the total price. The juice was expensive because it was 'fresh', so they charged something like INR. 150-180 for it.
Then that makes sense... Nice video By the way.
Thanks man. Usually my breakfast in India is waaaay cheaper.
You are right.. Looking forward for more videos. (Goa, Karnataka and down south may be ? .. If you are still in India)
Unfortunately not on this trip.. I’m concentrating on northern India (Golden Triangle & Rajasthan). But I plan on coming back and the south is definitely in my thinking!
metro is cheaper than Ola or uber
One more tip, download local food delivery apps like Swiggy or Zomato or even foodpanda and order food at normal rates. Sometimes these even have 24x7 delivery restros and also discounts.
500 n 1000 for the red fort n taj mahal?? You've been mis informed buddy
Great
Being an Indian...When I landed in London in 2015, I was like .... 'dyaaamn!!'
Then a £ was 100 INR.
Get into bus and get down a next stop - 3£
Room rent for a month, along with food - 600£
Indian Breakfast/lunch/dinner in restaurant - 5-8£ ( Almost 50£ per month)
The tube pass - 97£ per month
Weekend outing to outstation, once a month - 100-120£ ( Room rental in airbnb and Car rentals are pretty cheaper than India)
Weekend clubbing & drinks(3 times a month) - 80£
Groceries (Juice,beer, Chocolates) - 100£ a month
Telephone - 10£ a month
So total expense for whole month - Roughly around 1100£ (Hundred thousand INR) .... Which I'd have lived a lavish life in India!!
Good Jason having good time
Enjoy!!!!!!!

Ola and Uber is expensive compare to Delhi metro (example if 30 km cost in Cab around 400-500 rs but in Metro its 40-60Rs) , and lot of traffic on road.In Metro yes some time you have to manage seat.
Small remark ISKCON = International Society for Krishna Consciousness (missing C). BTW very good videos.
If you still in india plz visit North india chandigarh and himachal pardesh
Good vid mate, i could knock off a couple of that stuff and have it cheaper and same living conditions. Good video anyways!

Bloody Hell! it's expensive.. When I left 20 year's ago Delhi wasn't so Expensive. Anyway I was born there in late 1960s.. I'm now almost about to reach my 50th year in 2019..I wonder how much it will be if I convert € 💶 German Euros in to Rupees or American dollars 💵 $....But anyway it's nice video 📹 to get an Brief Idea. If I ever travel back to Delhi or other part's of India again. Informative Video 📹 Indeed!
Do you recommend exchanging money at the airport or in the city?

I'm an Indian but never visited Lotus temple.

Your choice of transportation and accomodation was good. You could have got tasty and hygienic food for less amount of money.
you can get a meal for almost half a pound if you try chole bhature or chole khulche which are also quite good and spicy.
Dude you should have stayed at a hotel. Its a bit expensive but the service is quite good and comparatively cheaper.
