My experience from visiting India is you can get really cheap food and all depends upon the restaurant and the locality.
Here is what I paid for the similar food Jason ordered.
    1. Breakfast - Poha (Rs 15) + Juice (Rs 30) (Street food)
    2. Dal Makhani+ Paneer+Rice + 3x Bread (Roti) - Rs 170 (Restaurant)
    3. Paneer Butter Masala+Rice - Rs 240 (Restaurant)
    4. Tea (without sugar - special tea) - Rs 10 and with sugar (Rs 7)
I used Zomato app for ordering food at times, that gave me a further 20-20% off from the same restaurant.
Travel Tip: It's a bonus if you have a local friend.

Yar, I think Paharganj can be much more pricey at some places because it is so touristy. Now that I’m further into my trip in India I’ve learned that you can find similar food much cheaper than this, so I’ll hopefully be making another one of these videos with a bit more background knowledge!

JASON BILLAM TRAVEL Paharganj is not expensive , just that you should know the right places and also should have an idea about the prices of a country , but still a job well done .also Zomato sometimes shows only pricey restaurant , sometimes swiggy is better showing all the local shops plus nothing better than scouting the shops on foot

Next time, I suggest that you travel with a local friend.
I'm an Indian and I know that salesmen of tiny shops ( esp novelty items and clothes) hike up the prices when they see a foreigner.
I accompanied a friend from London around North India once, everytime she enquired the cost it would be at least double the amount they would tell a local.
But thank you for showing how beautiful India is!

    • @manansharma9238

Rs 370 for Poha and Orange Juice ? God.. I'm Indian and I can buy a whole week of Grocery, Fruits and Snacks with that money lol..
By the way, I thought this might be useful to any Foreigner reading this - You can use "Big Basket", Its an Online Indian Store similar to Wall-mart, that delivers anything you want to anywhere in India (Ideal to order things to your Hotel, If you are too tired to head outside).
You can order Online and get anything in 2 hours, The only drawback is it exist only in Top 10 major cities in India.

Hey Jason, first of all you are too cute with always having a smile on your face. Thank you so much for coming and exploring our country in such a beautiful way. I've seen most of your videos and you never complained about anything. India has a lot of things you could have complained about but you chose to show the positive and good sides of everything which people rarely do. Thank you for adjusting with everything. Maybe you're having the best tour vlogs on RUclips. Keep visiting our country again. If possible come to the Eastern and North East part. These places have a lot to explore. We love you! ❤
Thank you for visiting the countries worldwide and bringing the beauties in front of our eyes.

Being an Indian...When I landed in London in 2015, I was like .... 'dyaaamn!!'
    Then a £ was 100 INR.
Get into bus and get down a next stop - 3£
Room rent for a month, along with food - 600£
    Indian Breakfast/lunch/dinner in restaurant - 5-8£ ( Almost 50£ per month)
The tube pass - 97£ per month
Weekend outing to outstation, once a month - 100-120£ ( Room rental in airbnb and Car rentals are pretty cheaper than India)
    Weekend clubbing & drinks(3 times a month) - 80£
    Groceries (Juice,beer, Chocolates) - 100£ a month
    Telephone - 10£ a month
So total expense for whole month - Roughly around 1100£ (Hundred thousand INR) .... Which I'd have lived a lavish life in India!!

Ola and Uber is expensive compare to Delhi metro (example if 30 km cost in Cab around 400-500 rs but in Metro its 40-60Rs) , and lot of traffic on road.In Metro yes some time you have to manage seat.

Bloody Hell! it's expensive.. When I left 20 year's ago Delhi wasn't so Expensive. Anyway I was born there in late 1960s.. I'm now almost about to reach my 50th year in 2019..I wonder how much it will be if I convert € 💶 German Euros in to Rupees or American dollars 💵 $....But anyway it's nice video 📹 to get an Brief Idea. If I ever travel back to Delhi or other part's of India again. Informative Video 📹 Indeed!
