One easier solution since this just happened to me. Pull the lock button and the broken door lever towards you at the same time and the door will open. 👍
I have two 08 mkz , random happenstance. But they are a joy to drive all weather(AWD)....BUT This seems to be the easiest thing to fix on the damn car. Don't get going on swapping out the alternator. Every bolt is so close to the frame it takes way longer than it should not to mention the gallon of coolant and the AC charge grrrr

When I hit the unlock button the door unlocks then locks again automatically over and over again like 4 times. What could that be?
I really needed to see the unsnap it all off, snap it back on part...

Water comes out of my passnger side inside car and my door handles broke and the dashboard is all messed up and sunroof too
Oh and the part in middle with lighter and cd player/radio the lighter/change spot won't close got to fix alot
If water is coming onto your floor, your sunroof drain is clogged. Very easy fix, watch a few videos
