- What is the shelf life of procion dye powders? I have had these powders for about 4 years. Will they still work?

she did and she aint payin rent!! Thanks for hanging out!
I've had issues with yellows from several manufacturers, it's the nature of the color I think. Blues tend to be sticky too which is a pain. For hot water work try adding soda ash to the dye before you put it on. 2:1 for light colors and 3:1 for darks. Mix it good and then ALL of the various dyes flow easily and you can use cake decorating tools for thin lines if you want :) The dyes won't activate until they get moisture so storing it mixed is no big deal but if you use mason jars know that the alkalyn mixture can eat up the metal in the lid and make opening the damn things months later difficult. Or so I've heard
BRILLIANT!!! Again, I love your comments!!! I cant wait to share this. i have some old icing tips, i cant wait to use!! You are absolutly the best!!!!

Yes, my yellow from dharma always settles in the bottom of the bottle. Gotta shake the hex out of it to blend.
Yes! Its worse to me than fire red!
Drop a glass marble into your dye bottles, makes getitng the gunk stirred up much easier! You can also use a rechargeable drink mixer wand for a serious stir :)
I think the movie you referenced was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? ( maybe...😂)
YES!!!!
So what's the shelve life of a procion dye again? Did I miss that?😅✌️
