The Fifty Fifty debut was one of my favorite releases of last year! I really like their more adult, not so cutesy-girly vocal style and generally more mellow, less in-your-face songs. Except for Log In, that's a more unusual song compared to the rest of their, still small, discography. But I still like it and I find it fascinating that the song is from the same group. Also, after I heard the first few seconds of Cupid, I immediately thought "That sounds like Fifty Fifty, alright.". Impressive that they have a unique, recognizable sound already.
I remember thinking when their album came out that I am so glad they didn’t make log in their debut. It’s fine but definitely the least 50/50 sounding song and would not have made them stand out like the rest of their songs have.
I said the same about Cupid, the way it starts with Aran adlibs and then her unique vocals definitely felt like a combination of Tell Me+Higher. Considering those two songs STILL have me in a chokehold, you can only imagine how whipped I am for Cupid

These girls are the total package: extremely talented in all aspects, hard-working, funny, pretty and down to earth. I especially love how mature and distinctive their voices sound. Also how their music is well structured, melodic and focused on vocals above all. I like some of the more experimental sounds of kpop too, but sometimes companies want to try too hard to be different instead of just offering us good pleasant songs. I think something else was the fact that whoever wrote Cupid, gave them good English lyrics. I understand it can be hard to translate songs into English, but even companies with a lot of money who have access to translators give their groups really terrible, cringey lyrics that don't even make sense. I think a lot of the success they have received from Tiktok recently has been positive because it's not just kpop fans who are listening to this and using their songs. People who don't listen to Kpop are listening and using this song which only gives the girls more exposure and I really think the lyrics have to do with it. The lyrics of Cupid are really good! I like Fifty Fifty and think they have great potential. They have a distinctive sound due in part to their distinctive vocals as a group and as individuals. Aran esp. has that "smokey", mature vocal colour reminiscent of the era before the emergence of RockNRoll (1950s and before). It suits their musical genres like city pop - which has jazz influences. Nobody I've heard in K-pop has that vocal color. Sio's voice while less distinct is more stable and clearer, complementing Aran's. Keena's rap tone is also distinctive and bright while her singing is also not ordinary. Saena's voice is also quite pleasing. Their songs are also catchy and melodic and I hope they continue making such songs. I'm so happy that K-pop has lately been reemphasizing melody and catchiness. The best-known is NewJeans, in addition to Fifty Fifty and also Mimiirose. Each group has melodic catchy songs but with their own twist. OP, have you heard Mimiirose's music? They have dance pop songs that are very pleasing to the ear. All 3 debut songs are great.

I just discovered them a few weeks ago, but I absolutely love them. Aran and Sio have such beautiful voices, and then you have Saena and Keena to punch up their sound. But Aran and Sio can also rap, Saena has a really pretty lower register, and Keena's voice when she sings has its own magical, sassy tone. Keena is my bias, I love her voice, her attitude, and of course, she's fvckin' beautiful. I think they have a more mature sound than a lot of KPOP groups, lush and often dream-like. If sunshine made a sound, it would sound like Fifty Fifty.

All I want to say is that they are the real vocal queens
I like Fifty Fifty and think they have great potential. They have a distinctive sound due in part to their distinctive vocals as a group and as individuals. Aran esp. has that "smokey", mature vocal colour reminiscent of the era before the emergence of RockNRoll (1950s and before). It suits their musical genres like city pop - which has jazz influences. Nobody I've heard in K-pop has that vocal color. Sio's voice while less distinct is more stable and clearer, complementing Aran's. Keena's rap tone is also distinctive and bright while her singing is also not ordinary. Saena's voice is also quite pleasing.
Their songs are also catchy and melodic and I hope they continue making such songs. I'm so happy that K-pop has lately been reemphasizing melody and catchiness. The best-known is NewJeans, in addition to Fifty Fifty and also Mimiirose. Each group has melodic catchy songs but with their own twist. OP, have you heard Mimiirose's music? They have dance pop songs that are very pleasing to the ear. All 3 debut songs are great.

pre debut hunny here!! if you love all english versions of kpop songs that actually flow well and match well you would LOVE TAN they're a 7 member group that comes from survival show wild idol and they debuted last year and the entire group is adults and it has people that have been idols before or in other predebut groups!! each comeback they always release an all english version of their tt and the members participate in the creation of their music!! pls consider checking them out as tan, fifty fifty, pixy, kingdom and jwiiver are all sibling groups (from different companies but the fandoms tend to be basically the same)!!

I just discovered them a few weeks ago, but I absolutely love them. Aran and Sio have such beautiful voices, and then you have Saena and Keena to punch up their sound. But Aran and Sio can also rap, Saena has a really pretty lower register, and Keena's voice when she sings has its own magical, sassy tone. Keena is my bias, I love her voice, her attitude, and of course, she's fvckin' beautiful.
I think they have a more mature sound than a lot of KPOP groups, lush and often dream-like. If sunshine made a sound, it would sound like Fifty Fifty.

found them through tik tok and most of the time when that happens, i only listen to the one song that i find. but with fifty-fifty i liked cupid sm that i went through the rest of their discography and i genuinely think it's an almost perfect discography despite how small it is atm. fingers crossed they continue down the path they're on and keep growing organically. also, side note, i don't think that some of their faces match their voices (and maybe that'll change the more i listen and keep up w them) but it makes them all the more interesting. they sound so unique and so fresh, ugh i could talk abt them all day
