Sydnie does not merely sing My Way, she redefines it and lives every intense moment of it, filling it with so much concentrated emotion that she and the song become as one, and the audience, at least subconsciously aware of this, is drawn irresistibly into a sublime experience of almost unbearable power and beauty, from which no one should ever wish to recover.
I've been listening to vocal performances on talent shows for years (I'm 81), and I've heard many that are fantastic. But for me, Sydnie is the Best I have ever heard, and this performance is the Best Ever! I loved her performance of "Tomorrow", and her complete audition is my all time favorite. And what she did with "Over the Rainbow" in the Finals is Exceptional. But I've never heard anything like what she did with "My Way". I've listened to it well over 50 times, and it blows me away every time. There have been many great singers in the 17 year history of BGT, but Sydnie is the only female to ever win. She is doing a UK tour in October, and if I lived anywhere close I would attend several. She is my all time favorite singer on any talent show. A talent for the ages.
I totally agree, she has sung three songs on the show and once they are "Sydniefied" the song from that point onwards belongs to her! I have tickets to see her in Manchester soon!
@@Mugsy0407 Damn! I am so envious. I live in Oklahoma (middle of the USA), and the UK is a bit far for me to go. Hope she knocks it outta the park. Best wishes.
After seeing all three of her performances, I believe Sydnie doesn't just sing a song - she becomes the song and the song becomes her. They become one unit. That is why her performances feel so personal.
I know she wants to be in the west end, but I think she is TOO GOOD for just the west end. People all over the world need to hear and see her. Not just those in the UK. She has set her sights too low for as good as she is.
I agree 100%. Bring her to America and once she catches fire in the states she will start selling out arenas. I love in the Midwest and I am DYING to see her live. I would DEFINITELY fly to England and see one of her fall shows IF I could afford it 😢
She has a pretty unique ability to make each song I've seen her perform seem personal to herself. When that talent is paired with her aptitude of being able to magically connect with the audience....as if she's the girl who lives next door to them and whom they both know and love, the outcome is is both emotional and almost other-worldly.
I completely agree. I must have listened to about 50 reaction videos so far and watch the main video at least 20 times. I completely 100% could listen to this lady a million times. Incredible
Me too. She is AMAZING and will give Adele a run for her $$$. You watch. 50 millions views of Tommorrow on all social media outlets in only what 4-6 weeks I'd say that went viral 🤣 That album in September will go straight to #1 on the charts to, GUARANTEED 😉
I've been waiting for you to watch and thoroughly enjoy this performance because I knew this would light up your soul...we can see how much passion you have for music and when it's on this scale it's heavenly...you are right I hear different little touches she adds on each time I listen and I'll admit it has been many times...waiting for the next Sydnie video...Karl from eastern Canada❤❤❤❤🍁🍁🍁🍁
These 3 performances would have won every talent competition in the entire world. She carefully crafted her sequence of songs to build the same crescendo that she achieves in each separate one. Yes, she risked a great deal by opening with Tomorrow, but she had to believe enough in herself that her rendition would show enough of her talent to get her through. She saved her full power and range for My Way, which is where she truly won the competition. What a career she will have on the concert stage where her personality and her ability to pull her audience into each song will come to fruition.
In her audition song I heard a touch of Barbra Streisand. In this one I heard a touch of Shirley Bassey. By the time of her final song, I heard nothing but Sydnie.
I can see similarities in ornamentation with Australian The Voice winner Bella Taylor Smith. Check her out and review her. Unfortunately only Delta and a small few talented Australians get airplay over here. Syndie is great
Kudos kudos kudos to you expertly judging her unique qualities as a singer. I've seen other reactions who compare her to other singers and I consider that almost an insult.
Fantastic voice and great vocal control.. but HATE the arrangement. Just a personal thing, but it's for most of her performances.. no chance I would ever consider buying her album
Some people ( you included ) like to say dumb things just to wind people up, all you've succeeded in doing is showing everyone that you talk through your arse.
I don't think anyone can only listen to her once....she just heals your soul....

I agree with your assessment
Could not agree more!
Absolutely agree.

I always get such a kick out of watching you "go crazy" when you hear an exceptional singer
like Sydnie.
That finale was not overblown...Not too grandiose or cliche. It was a master class in perfection of ass kicking.
Sydnie lives in her song. She believes and she makes it true, and the song becomes hers
Where has she been all this time ,she certainly will go a long way with her incredible voice ❣️
I think I've watched all her perfomances a million times 👏👏👏🎉

This was my favorite performance of hers. She also came up with the arrangement.

neither can i

I have to now listen to Sydnie every day quite a few times without fail, can't wait to see her live in October.
Her version of starlight express is amazing

Thank you Karl! More to come!
She’s done her album now .Starlight express is a Lloyd Webber song she sings this lovely as well
Awesome reaction ❤
Her album is great as well.
I can see Sydnie in Vegas if she wants to be there!
Oh please let that happen
If that ever happens, I will be there front row center

Is above comment kidding?? Sydnie arranged this with her vocal coach...i love watching your face as you listen to her
Pitch perfect
She has a Shirley Bassey vibe here. She will be as big a star for sure.
In her audition song I heard a touch of Barbra Streisand. In this one I heard a touch of Shirley Bassey. By the time of her final song, I heard nothing but Sydnie.
You should check out Sydnie’s new video release (My Way). Takes us on her journey from the start of her BGT run to present. Chills yet again!
Good insights...How do we find your comments on Syd's other 2 song selections? Thanks
Odd hearing Shirley Bassey's voice out of her own mouth by times...

Her voice is so close to Shirley Bassey.
I don't want much from Sydnie Christmas...I just want to hear her sing EVERY SONG IN MY CATALOG.
I heard a little Liza Minnelli
She reminds me very much of Shirley Bassey
With a large touch of Sydnie thrown in.
I don’t like that you don’t stick around for the judges responses

hmmm....sad for you.
Who's your drug dealer? If you thought that was good you have to be high!
you are on something if u dont think this is good , she best i seen in long time her and Lucy Thomas is so good
The Best version of that song by a mile - you are deaf !
Just another troll writing Stupid crap.
