Yet another song choice that in general I never really cared for... until Sydnie sang it. And now I love it. There are some tracks on her forthcoming album that I cannot wait to hear. She is just amazing. Love your analysis and reaction here.

An FYI, Sydnie’s album titled “My Way” will be available in early October. One song from the albums is already out-“My Way”. She will soon also be on tour throughout Britain.

Hello again, Juliet. Sydnie probably knows this song better than almost anyone since she heard it sung many times by other cast members, when she was in the show for 4 years in Germany. Certainly was a natural choice for her, and did a great job.

Sydney exploded onto the music scene' in 10 minutes of stage time she went from the pauper peasant to Queen. As you say, she is a master of vocal musicality, but can she handle the roll of Queen? She still in interviews keeps stating that her dream is a lead in the West End, which dream she seriously needs to revisit. She does not need a musical director, director, and producers telling her what to sing and how to sing it; she doesn't need to be chained to a crushing rehearsal schedule and performance schedule for months on end. Sydnie has to now have an agent, a business manager, choose her own vocal director (Annabelle), control her own schedule, tour at her own comfortable pace, and take time out to have the family she wants. When I say Queen, I mean she is a national and international treasure if she has the fortitude to accept the role, fully and firmly in control.
Yes, Sydnie is doing very well where she is now, as you say: the West End used to be her dream - yet is so hard to get in to, but she knows her new album and nationwide tour is her dream come true, too. And, long may it last!
staying the course she's on with her musical team, as you mentioned: good chance for a while now she won't be 'distracted' by a roll in the West End, as she herself said just the other day that such platforms are so hard to land while she now has a working platform

Juliet… I may be crazy or just a romantic … but I think this is Sydnie’s love song to Max. Take me to the places I’ve never been. I need you to be true. Tell me which way to go. And most importantly, Did you notice how she changed the last words to “I Need You Here” rather than I need you to be true or I need you to be real. She is saying to Max, I need you to be here with me on at all these new places she’s going and she’s scared to be doing all this on her own. She needs him to be here with her. It’s easier to sing a song with so much emotion as she does here when the story you are telling is your own story. I’m sure i didn’t say that very eloquently but I think you will get my drift. A very pertinent point, Robin, and most likely true. After all, it was seeing her video of Max playing the keyboard for her while she was wistfully singing this song next to him which brought Andrew Lloyd Webber's rapid response inviting her to release her own version, which led to this very video.
I love your reactions so much. She tells a story in such a wonderful way...every single time..she is so unique..please review her album due out next week. Totally agree she needs her own music. Heard an interview with her she has some of her own songs written in adolescence. Maybe ALW will write for her

Sydnie said in a recent interview that she is continually focusing on her her technique and ways to put her own little "kiss" on songs - something which I think we may experience when her album is released. Incidentally, Andrew Lloyd-Webber himself suggested Sydnie record this song and it's available on Spotify.

Wow your reaction is wonderful as were your other 3 reactions to Sydnie. Your enthusiam for her talent and the way you explain things, for someone who is one of the worst tone deaf people on the planet, the details you raise just makes her sound even more talented. From an old tone deaf guy she sounds amazing to me but with your help I now know she is technically an amazing singer.
Managed to get tickets for her "My Way" concert in Feb 25 and I can't wait.

Her new and first album are covers with the Sydnie treatment, the album is mamed My Way! In an interview she said she was working on some original music, some of which she has already written! Can't wait for this album and her new music! I also wish her success in landing a West End or Broadway leading role! I think she can have a solo career and the stage! I think she could be great on musical comedy or serious musicals!
