The London revival of Starlight Express premiered recently on the stage where Sydnie sang this song. She was encouraged by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber to release her version of the show's title song.
Thank you for looking at Sydnie's first music video since winning the BGT: this does really show the beauty of her singing art! She sought out working at the German production of this show because she'd always loved it since going to see it in London almost ten years ago, now: while in Germany, there, she met her boyfriend, Max Rizzo, from among the cast: he is the young man one can glimpse among her family at the end of her audition video at BGT. When he and she were playing a 'quiet' version of this song at home and posting the video of it on instag. in which she tagged Andrew Lloyd Webber to thank him for having written her dream song, he himself responded within 30 minutes and invited her to release her own version: she responded: "Yes, Sir!" saying also that it was "a pinch me, full circle moment"! - just as she had spoken of adapting Loren Allred's song, after winning BGT, with Loren posting on Sydnie's facebook post that it was now "our" song. The original release of this song is a lyrics video with EXCELLENT graphics, if you have a chance to look at that, too, pleeeezz.
Just Amazing stage presence. Magical Vocals, I find it interesting that off stage she just seems so girls next door vibe, but on a stage she just blossoms into this Goddess of emotional content. Love this lady and her voice. You people in UK that didn't give her the break she needed...LMAO at you.
She's on the actual stage of the musical Starlight Express. She used to perform on the European tour of the show as a backup singer. The whole show is done on roller skates like a roller derby. They did a behind the scenes of this video, and she is zooming around the place up and down the ramps on her roller skates along with the stars of the show. She can really skate.
I dont think they are listening these comments about Sydnie any more even though her career is booming, but keep posting comments about Sydnie to show her you care. ❤ She is an inspiration!😊

Glad you both have reaction. Starlight Express is musical show, they're already have stage that Sydnie can ask(or rent) to use because she has some connection and work with them few years ago in Germany and especially she have permitted from Andrew Lloyd Webber, who own and wrote this song.
So pleased you were able to react to this video the 1st time i heard this it brought tears to my eyes and no microphone she is amazing i still listen to the other songs over and over sidnie has an album coming out on september 20th and a uk tour in october she deserves the best
It doesn’t matter what volume Sydnie sings at it all sounds beautiful. She would be a phenomenal recording artist. Listen to Heal Me, One Night Only, and Somebody To Love. She can do it all!👍🌹❤️
Her time in Germany as a member of Starlight Express is where she performed in what they call a “Swing” role. She had to be ready to play any of 5 or 6 roles if someone wasn’t available for that particular show. I don’t know if any of those roles included singing this song, but she certainly sang it with conviction.

And for me, it's the best version I have ever heard. But I'm a bit bias, because I Love anything she sings. She has a UK tour in October at several venues. If I wasn't halfway around the world (Oklahoma), I'd be there in a flash. I always love your reactions.
Hello, re UK tour, the October dates are now postponed to February 2025, from 09 to 24 February, at 10 venues, one in Glasgow Scotland, nine in England. In London Aldwych Theatre on Sun 23 Feb. Also, the background Set was actually one at the theatre where the current Starlight Express is showing, so it was not made just for her stunning video. X
Actually it is true that Andrew Lloyd Webber did encourage Sydnie to make her own arrangement of Starlight Express after he heard her singing it to her boyfriend Max at home. She had tagged Andrew in a video she had made on Instagram and within 30 minutes he had written her back and the rest is history. Both Sydnie and her boyfriend had met while performing in Starlight Express in Germany. They had performed there off and on for 4 years.
Starlight Express was the first West End production I saw in about 85/86 and yes it is all about trains with the cast on roller skates with the tunnels all around the theatre where the cast 'conga' style would skate through at high-speed. It was enthralling and 20 years later my youngest daughter was telling myself and my wife that we should go and see it ?? 🇬🇧
Will someone please get Sydnie out to the world. An agent, a producer, Simon Cowell, Andrew Lloyd Webber anyone!! I could listen to her forever, everyday! The world will love her! There is NONE better!!!
Andrew Lloyd Webber should get her to sing a version of his song in the phantom of the opera she will smash it she is so good so I would love to hear her perform in the phantom
Simon or Andrew sign her up she is a superstar in the making best voice I have heard for a long time and needs to be heard she should be a legend one day as everyone will want to hear her sing and I will definitely listen to her voice over and over again it’s a rare occasion for a voice like that to win b g t and one of the best voices I have ever heard
