Lyrics:
Were you there when the man from Atlanta was
Murdered in Memphis?
Did you see him laying at the Lorraine Motel?
Did you hear them say that the CIA is witness
To the murder of a man at a motel in Memphis?
Motel in Memphis
Motel in Memphis
Run and tell somebody
There's blood on the riverside
Oh muddy water
Rollin' to Memphis
If you were there you'd swear
It was more then a man who died
Did you see Coretta she was sobbing on
The corner in her black veil?
Did you see Mr. Crump in a white coat grin?
Did you walk downriver where the cottonwoods are swinging
With ghostly bodies of men?
Motel in Memphis
Motel in Memphis
Run and tell somebody
There's blood on the riverside
Oh muddy water
Rollin' to Memphis
If you were there you'd swear
It was more then a man who died
Were you there with Mahalia wailing at the funeral?
Did you watch them lower his casket in?
Did you tremble when you thought about the future
And cry out for a martyred man?
Motel in Memphis
Motel in Memphis
Run and tell somebody
There's blood on the riverside
Oh muddy water
Rollin' to Memphis
If you were there you'd swear
It was more then a man who died
this bands lyrics are bone chilling
Listen every year on mlk day
Powerful, I marched in Berkeley for Dr King after he was murdered. I still remember it like it was yesterday :(
That was slick, took me a minute to see it. I clicked cause I'm from Memphis, then you made me feel.

Humans will never get the message! The US and the world is so full of hatred, there's still time to change that! We are after all the same, you cut me, I bleed red!

Much love to you, brother, from America! Stay safe out there:)
Black struggle in the 60’s doesn’t compare one bit with today’s “struggle”. Shameful to be honest. Your ancestors are disappoint in you for destroying everything they created.
How is it possible that this video has 3 dislikes
They have the virus!
Maybe few MAGA turds came here, expecting a song celebrating the assassination of MLK..?
They got a rude awaking that "old crow" wagon wheel is not the only song they made.
Because blm is a terrorist organization that should never be put on or advertised for anything unless its in past tense.
Maybe because BLM believes the exact opposite of Martin Luther King. BLM calls for the abolishment of the nuclear family, at a time when black Americans have the highest rate of out of wedlock births at 77%. Martin Luther King was a Christian pastor, married and a family man. Martin Luther King is an example for all, BLM is an example of how to ruin your life. Martin Luther King preached universal brotherhood and judging people by the content of their character. BLM preaches hatred of white people as if white people collectively have to atone for anything. It is immoral to hold the children or grandchildren of anyone responsible for the sins of the father or grandfather. BLM preaches racism and hatred, Martin Luther King preached love. It's too bad they decided to use these digusting piece of shit grifters in an otherwise excellent song. I do believe there is a deep state and I absolutely believe the FBI provoked Martin Luther King's killer because after the civil rights war was won, MLK moved on to opposing the Vietnam war and that was a big no no for the deep state. I think O.C.MS should apologize for besmirching MLK"s name by comparing MLK's legitimate struggle against BLM's fictional struggle against so called-systemic racism. But you wouldn't know anything about it would you woke leftist? Yeah keep searching for your thetans.
You cannot oppose racism and support BLM at the same time.
You've clearly bought into the media narrative on the movement, then. They did the same shit to MLK, man. Don't listen to the bastards telling ya how bad some black folks are, and go talk to those black folks. I can assure you you'll find a hell of alot more common ground with them than you ever could with the rich bastards telling ya to be afraid of em.
To equate BLM with the real civil rights struggle is not only inaccurate, but insulting. This right here is why I stopped being a fan of this band.
Sure, a lot of dissimilitude between the peaceful march of MLK and the havoc, hatred, and
savagery of BLM. but they forgot to embrace that in the video.
"Certain conditions continue to exist in our society, which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice, equality and humanity. And so in a real sense our nation’s summers of riots are caused by our nation’s winters of delay. And as long as America postpones justice, we stand in the position of having these recurrences of violence and riots over and over again. Social justice and progress are the absolute guarantors of riot prevention" - Martin Luther King Jr.
He didn't die there. He died later when the FBI killed him in the hospital.
Did ya hear that the cia was witness lol 😂
Michael Brown's name on the sign, was there two?
