I'd love to see the full podcast episodes on RUclips. I may be in the minority of people who don't use multiple media apps, but I don't need another content feed.
@@ThaitopYTI wasn't trying to come off as complaining but rather to state my preference for media consumption. It would be great if I didn't have to leave the platform to find the full episodes and be able to see them on my subscription feed. Thanks for the tip about not needing to sign up though.

Fantastic clip! As a gamer sea of thieves is super fun and as a dev I find the approach they took to making it really interesting. I often wish to see more game devs discussing testing, especially TDD, but unfortunately I don't know many that have interest in it.
I think the line between a hard bug and gameplay issues is quite blurry, which makes automated testing tricky. For example if I write a shader to colour in a 3d model and there's some subtle issue where it doesn't look right, maybe some aliasing or something. That, is a technical bug. But writing tests to catch that sort of thing is very difficult. The real trick is applying things like unit tests where it makes sense to apply them.
As a gigantic fan of Sea of Thieves (Hourglass player) I'm glad to see Dave interview people who make the game. Almost exclusive to gaming is how responsiveness ties into the overall user experience, and that two clients will often have two separate but similar states of the game that need to be synchronized within a certain timeframe. Blizzard used to sometimes talk about the difficulties and compromises they would be forced to make because of these constraints. It would be nice to hear how Rare approaches things like this with Sea of Thieves (tracking players that need to be synced to the floors of a ship etc., handling hit registration) and how they consider acceptable outcomes for these features and test them?
Why are the full podcasts not on youtube? I have Spotify premium but I still have not the slightest idea why someone would someone want to use the same program for both podcasts and music. Actually I hate Spotify in general, the fact the state is single and synced between devices, as opposed to having multiple "streams of thought", like you can have multiple tabs and jump between them, makes it feel like total garbage to me.
I would like to see more real details. This was just fluff around yes you should test. Maybe there is more on the podcast but it is insane that you don't put the full thing on RUclips the biggest platform there is!

Use another podcatcher then. These are not your only options and by your own logic, RUclips is a video player and so is unsuited to this user case...
