- Hi, I made a vocaloid cover on my downtime
Notes:
- This was very fun to do! I'm glad I was able to pick this up again.
- I am hoping I can finally post it without tweaking every single little thing though. Part of the problem is that I keep hearing incorrect pitches and it drives me crazy but vocaloid 5 just simply doesn't let me adjust it manually! So I am aware of the random pitch problems. But I think I did what I could!
- In conclusion to that, I do not like v5 that much, sadly.
- Mikoto/Hime voice banks are a bitch to mix/master ( I really tried my best!! Their voices are just really rough to work with)
- I really enjoyed practicing with them though!
- I made an off vocal version with an ai tool, that is free and REALLY GOOD??? All the other instrumentals of this song were a bit muddy, but this one did it pretty well. It's called vocalremover.org
- I am probably going to move to Synth V at some point, vocaloid has been rough lately, and I've never been into robotic render noises.
(No hate to vocaloid! It is very good when its good!)
- I'm finally getting into little projects again, I've been gone for a while, only because of personal issues but I am back. And hopefully I may post more. (I say this every time, but I swear I intend to!!!!!)

This is so cool! I've always wished people would do more covers of Splatoon songs in Inkling, and this really delivered!!!
At some point I want to do covers of all the songs with official lyrics. I also wish there were more covers that used inkling (or octarian) lyrics. This cover is really good!

When it said translated lyrics, I assumed that it'd be interrupted into English words, but this is very well done and stays true to the original! (not that other Splatoon translated songs don't, but you get what I mean 😅)

yoo this is so good.. i quite like hime and mikoto, they have a fun sound but their quality issues are annoying... ive always wanted to cover inkling songs so i love seeing ppl dop that!!
also i use a AI tool quite often that rips vocals and instrumental and goddamn, what a blessing. the vocals are shockingly clean and i can often refer to the pitch from the singer too which is awesome
Thank you! And yes, Its so easy to do inkling language covers w/ vocaloids bc the japanese phonemes just work PERFECTLY for it. I am hoping to get vocaloid 6 and try to the AI vocalochanger at some point because I KNOW I'll be obsessed with messing around on it. They are so clean its crazy.
OOOOO I remember being a fan from your old original songs, and then I got this video put in recommended. The tuning is great and Mikoto and Hime are one of my fav vocaloids. Great art great cover!

Aaahh!!! I’m in love with the way you did the notes for frye’s part! A lot of people don’t put in the vibrato to make it sound more Indian, which I feel like it just isn’t right without it, so I’m so glad you included it!

such a nice cover :D id be very excited to hear the songs you'd make with synth v!!! its such an intuitive and easy to use software when compared to the user friendliness of vocaloid, if you arent into the "roboticness" of vocaloid or find it hard to achieve the results you want with it, then synth v is a good fit imo
