  • The Aria Pro II RS X70 is a 24 fret, 5 layer neck-thru guitar. It has a rosewood fretboard, humbucker pickups, coil taps, out of phase and 2 pre-amps. This guitar is all business with great features at your finger tips. The ergonomics are perfect. It sounds really good with mellow songs but it is much more at home with hard rock or metal. The pickups are blasters. As all Matsumoku Factory built neck-thru guitars, it plays like butter. I play this guitar more than any other guitar I own. It has everything I need and nothing I don't need. Simply put, it is a flawless design, dream to play and an amazing guitar to own.
Amp - Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 18 watt w/12" vintage 30 cabinet
Dirt pedal - Weehbo Morbid Drive.

Found an Aria Rsx80 nearly mint in Japan a couple years back. Still has the original stickers that came on the DiMarzio super-distortions. Also has a slimmer, faster neck than my ESP Forest GT. They sure made amazing instruments back at Matsumoku.

I have this guitar! I found it in a barn rafter in high school some 19 years ago! Had to put new machine heads and then strings and she plays like a dream. I just can’t find much about this thing. Would love to inquire more with you about it.

I had the AP2 Cardinal series cr350 I loved it but traded it in 1994, really regret it. I bought it new in 1982. Was a beautiful blue transparent.

I have an nk-700 plays great can you tell me what you know about it ?

The NK-700 is a solid body version of the SH-1000. It has the MH-I pickups, pre amps, and same hardware. I think the NK-700 has 24 frets vs 22 fret on the SH-1000. This is a rare guitar. They also made a NK-800 that had a 24 fret sandwich body. Send me some photos of it. How does it sound (Bright vs Warm). Also let me know if you ever want to sell it.

I have never seen a green RS X70. If it is the original color it is very very rare.

Just curious? What brand or model is the double cutaway solid body guitar behind you on the left side in the video?

From far left to right - Ibanez Artist Custom 2710 DS (Dark Stain), Aria Pro II SH-800, Vantage VA 912 (12 String w Coil Taps, 24 fret) The Ibanez Artist Custom 2710 both very rare and very heavy, lots of switches, pre amps, carved thick sandwich body, 9 piece neck with 24 frets. They play great. They were made in the Fujigen Factory. Fujigen, like Matsumoku made guitars for many companies (Daion, Fender, Greco, etc.). They were the higher priced Japanese guitars. Often the 2 Companies collaborated. I had wanted one these for years but could not afford one. When I retired I took money from 401k and bought this one. Its has lots of tone switches and will create any sound know to god. It is a great studio guitar but its a sit down guitar. Its is too heavy (12 + lbs) for me play long standing up. Two-three songs max. Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead played one for years. He also played a and an Ibanez MC 500 witch is the same guitar but Strat Shaped body. I know his back was hurting. Steve Miller (early years) and Bob Weir played regular Artist's as well.

Frankie Casper thanks for great information. I have found a guitar that looks like it's either an Aria or Cort double cutaway solid body. The only identification on it is a small label sticker on the back of the headstock that reads WO.20784. I've only found one other guitar online like it. It was on RUclips. It was a Cort and has the same label that reads WO.20981. The one I've found is for sale for $110 with a 30 watt amp. It looks to be in good shape except one small ding on the body and a couple of the tuners have a little rust on them.

@@frankiecasper2903its 100 miles away from where we are Glamping in Vermont. Instead of being labeled Cort or ARIA on the truss rod cover It's Mach1. There isn't any type of engraving on the metal plate on the back where the neck is bolted on. It only has the sticker on the headstock. I can share some photo's on my RUclips channel if you're interested.
