JC,we spend most our time in the ROUGH ! could you show us how to get out of, ball high grass and higher ? with 60yd wedge . with a 150yd iron ? with a 180yd hybrid/fairway wood ? Our faiways are Not like Carpet !
Hi John I have seen a few channels challenge this? What is the main issue if you allow the left arm to move away even if it’s the within the same margin?
Why are my practice swings so perfect but when I hit the ball I stand up and flip at it? No matter how many times I rehearse, the actual swing is never the same as the practice swing lol
You need to slow it all down so your mind can integrate the move. A great analogy is learning to play guitar, break the song down into bars, play them really slowly within your capability. Once you have it slowly start to speed up joining the bars together to complete the song. Same applies to the golf swing. Break it into sections and practice them slowly until you can blend together with speed.
It’s the ball..your practice swing is exactly that in your mind you are swinging through the imaginary ball. You have to think the ball is in the way of your “swing” if that makes sense.
Nice reminder of the left arm connection. Gary Player has mentioned this as well. Cheers, Jonathan!

It’s the damn ball that’s the problem!
