Simpler times.
I remember waking up on the weekend around 8 pm and getting on my ds to play Pokémon diamond. At this time I didn’t really have friends so my brother and I would play together, I had diamond he had pearl. I remember playing this at bed time on school nights and hiding my ds under my thin blanket that you can clearly see the bright screen through, hah one time I beat two gym leaders in one night but forgot to save before my mom caught me playing and took it away! Pokémon made me into the funny, shy, and smart person I am today. I wish I could live in a world where Pokémon existed. Anyways I was so happy during this period of my life I wish I could just go back for one day and be happy again, because this is some kind of happiness I don’t think I’ll ever feel again.
This is the same for me. I'm a pilot and I played Leaf Green so much. I still imagine seeing flying types like Pidgeot, Staraptor, Dragonite, and much more. I love going to a forest and imagining bug types and grass types. And of course I would just imagine I had a gengar on me. (My favorite pokemon even after a decade) I find myself playing any pokemon game I play. But I still play pokemon go. It's nice knowing people have a similar past to mine. And I still have the Gameboy advance I played on. My top ten pokemon are mostly the pokemon that I used as my team. Gengar, Salamance, Articuno, Jolteon, Venusaur, and My shiny Raichu. Which at the time I thought was a glitch. But every Kanto game I play I always hunt for a shiny Pikachu, but I replace Salamance with Salamance the Dragonite.
im fairly new to the series (first game was shield) but i constantly fantasize about seeing pokemon irl. going on a stroll in the woods and befriending a phantump, or maybe finding a mimikyu stealing some fabric i threw out for a better costume, or even visiting a graveyard at night and seeing all the mismagius and hisuian zorua lingering around the headstones. what can i say, im a sucker for ghost types, haha. the world of pokemon is the one i want to live in. it just seems so peaceful
If Pokémon were real the world would be a lot different, probably mostly on fire. I do agree though in another way, if I could go to the Pokémon world I would. Would be so epic.

This last sentence especially, hit home 100%. Been feeling&saying that for several years now. Even if I'm not even depressed nor apathetic anymore.
But you never know. Keep your core/innocence (mostly) intact and keep trying and you never know exactly what's coming, I guess, even if things look bleak. And I obviously say this as someone who has completely lost hope, maybe multiple times, because of how humankind is and how it basically rejects innocence every day, choosing cynicism instead. But we need to stop doing a disservice to the good ppl and our species' good side and efforts, and try harder, in whatever way we can no matter how small.
🧡 Enjoy whatever you can enjoy, for as long as we'll be able to... and also don't even blame yourself too much, because good ppl tend& are convinced to do that and it's not only unfair and detrimental but way too stupid too...
If you say you're all that, I'll take your word for it :p and hope you will be able to enjoy such times again indeed, altho the responsibilities and issues never end as we're getting older.
Sitting in the living room. The evening setting in. Dark clouds have hung in the sky for a while. The wind is very gentle. The rain is cool but the air is warm. The room is also comfortable. A small throw is draped over your mid section but your feet, arms, and head stick out. Aside from your game, all else is quiet. Animals are asleep. Nobody else is expected to arrive any time soon. You're not moving. Just listening. Relaxing. Slowly slipping away. That next badge can wait. Best to rest up your team. Just for a little while longer.

Not going to lie. When the video started with the Eterna forest music, I teared up a bit just from the nostalgia.
hearing the pokemon center's night theme with the thunderstorm is super relaxing to me
like. you and your team just arrive in town when it starts pouring rain. you make your way into the pokemon center to get warm and wait out the storm you talk with other trainers there while your pokemon take a nap next to you or make friend with other pokemon. the storm continues to rumblr overhead eith no signs of letting up, so you decide to stay at the center for the night

I wonder how long this will go on for…oh wow, looks like the little lad is captivated by the sweet music coming from his ds. What’s this? He’s falling asleep, he must be tired. Rest now little one, pokemon will grow even more and your mind will be able to think of so many new ways you wish your real life journey could be, in the wonderful world of Pokemon! Now, let the memories fly by as you have fun and when time has past, reflect on the happiness you once knew, and the happiness you know of now. Let Pokémon be your comfort and sleep a great sleep. One day, you too will be a Pokémon master, having completed a journey in every region, just like your idol Ash Ketchum. Someday Pokémon music will make a surge of nostalgia and memories flood through your body, and make you feel that happiness that was once easily obtained…good night little one, sleep to that Eterna forest music and smile all the way…
I pick a new "video game music with rain noises" video for every book I write, and somehow none of my books have been a Pokemon compilation yet. This morning I started a new book and was clicking around trying to find the perfect video. The moment this one started I was like, "yup, that's it." FINALLY, a Pokemon book!! Thank you for uploading!

This is one of my favorite pieces of music, now. I play this whenever I need help focusing to study, and to soothe my anxieties/depression away (though, seem to have to all the more frequently now...). As I've been replaying this video for a long time now, just felt the need this evening to say thank you for helping me get done with my college assignments, and feel more relaxed to sleep.~💙💚☔

I felt your comment though, and I really relate to that part you said/implied they only are more frequent and multiply... You're probably fairly young too, it can get worse later tbh. You just never know how life will treat you tomorrow; but that can mean it'll treat you better than yesterday sometimes, so yh.
Just stay as positive (in deep ways, because many pretend and advertise they're good and positive but flat out lie, or are kinda good indeed but quickly end up (are taught&led to become) cynical and there are countless events and (half) truths /realities, that can cause loss of hope in general) and protect your core/innocent side.
Well, I always say how the world would be better if we all acted on real values daily and had better priorities (regarding collective decisions and goals, etc, especially), but that's a whole other topic, and huge one at that.
Have a great rest of summer&year, and life...! And try to enjoy whatever stuff you can enjoy. Before anxiety becomes a real obstacle ;p

It starts running as you try to catch up soon you've lost it but continue going forward anyway leaving some food for the eevee and then you look up. There it is a majestic Leafeon you leave some food out as it jests for you to follow it as rain starts pouring down will you?

wrote a little pov while listening to this. criticism is welcome, please just be nice about it:
you're relaxing in the forest with your pokémon. your polteageist is making you some tea while your mimikyu and phantump cuddle up next to you. your chandelure is cowering behind you in fear of the rain, but cautiously floats closer as you give it a warm smile. you're all just minding your business when you see something shimmering in the trees. you aren't worried, though. all the pokémon in this forest know that you mean them no harm, and while they don't exactly like you, they're comfortable with your presence. the shimmering gets closer, and reveals itself to be a beautiful pair of antlers. you look beneath the antlers and find a pokémon youve never seen before. it looks like some sort of blue deer, but the aura of it tells you that its so much more. you bow your head in respect, then continue to gaze intently. the pokémon bows its head back, and you swear you see something like longing in its eyes. you give it a friendly smile and gesture for it to come closer. it comes all the way up to you, jumping at your slightest movement. you slowly lift your hand and, with its permission, stroke its nose. it gently nuzzles your hand, then pulls away. it lays down beside you, peaceful. rather than falling asleep, it lets out a cry. it sounds like a kind of “over here” call. from the trees, three more pokémon emerge. one looks like a mechanical ballerina, another looks like a sort of living gemstone, and the third appears to be a fluffy shadow. you give a welcoming smile and wave. all three come over and join you as you look out into the rain.
A beautiful short story that you wrote, made me smile.~ 💓

I want to relax to the gen 4 music so badly, but all I can feel now is anger and frustration about BDSP. Every other generation got amazing remakes, but when it was time for one of the two people wanted the very most, it got a terrible, buggy remaster outsourced to a random company because the pokemon company refused to give gamefreak the time to make it. It just makes me so angry and sad, you know? Sinnoh was my childhood, and all I. An think of is what didn’t get to be. We didn’t even get good remixes of the music 😔
