I think this is one of the best laptops right now. Being able to play AAA games and do other intensive tasks, but also have a very sleek design for a gaming laptop. I have been playing Halo Infinite.
@@Smiley-zm1rp not too great but it's mostly plugged in with battery conservation mode on (60% max all the time) so when it is off I'm only getting about an hour and a half (dGPU only and hybrid mode off)

Loving the back cover, so much more stealthy than other gaming laptops. Im currently playing battlefield 2042 and this would be amazing not just for latest games but also uni cad work. Great video
Perfect laptop for everything, display, thermal, keyboard and the rgb option that you can turn it off. The main mini stuff that also gives this one an edge for me is the light that it gives for the ports at the back so you will immediately identify which is which for the ports. Apparently I stop from playing since my laptop is broken since the start of pandemic and hoping to get this one beautiful laptop so that I can play once again the new AAA games and can do work anywhere with this. Been a fan of this channel cause it is fun and knowledgeable hahahaha

I was deciding for such a long time between this and the Asus ROG Zephyrus S17 (2021). I ended up buying this, with the Intel i9-1100HK, 32 GB RAM, 2 TB storage, and RTX 3080. No regrets and it's been an amazing journey so far. Highly recommended.
This has really got me thinking, very rare do we see gaming laptops tick most of the boxes and it’s actually refreshing that they put effort into maximising for creative side of things as well (e.g. rendering) It would be nice to do a video that looks in detail about how it works with creative and animation software as well. That said definitely worth considering. Cheers
I've got the 5900X/3080 and work all day long in AE/PP + all the other Creative Cloud apps. Not only is it an absolute render monster, but it's quiet and cool. Also, I generally work on 2 x 27" 1440p LG Ultragear monitors, but on the odd occasion I work on the laptop alone, the 16:10 aspect ratio really helps with layer stacks! Ample top-spec ports, but be warned, no SD Card reader if you're into photography.
I think that the AMD version of the Lenovo Legion 7 appears to be nearly identical to the Intel model reviewed a few weeks ago. Without a question, the Lenovo Legion 7 is one of the greatest laptops on the market right now, especially for gaming. Sure, there are nitpicks, but none of them seem to be dealbreakers to me.
My son is using the Legion 5 Pro ( since he needed a Windows Pc ) - very satisfied. The screen is really good, sturdy, not bending like crazy ( like on other Laptops I compared at various reseller stores ), not mentioning the 500 nits brightness. Keyboard and trackpad also good. After almost a month comparing , reading and watching reviews that Legion 5 Pro was actually the only candidate ( price, build quality and performance ). Since the other student in our family will need a new notebook, the Legion 7 seems to be a new candidate, thanks for this review.
This laptop looks absolutely amazing, the only thing stopping it from being absolutely perfect is, as you said, the lack of a full sized SD card slot. Right now I'm playing a lot of real racing 3 on my phone. I don't live in the UK but my dad does and hopefully that's enough to get me in the running for the competition 🤷🏽♂️.
I would really love to win this laptop! I have been a massive Lenovo fan as they have the best laptops with awesome design and best price for performance on the market. I love it when laptop companies get the thermal envelopes right and your laptop doesn’t overheat like crazy. When playing more demanding games. I love playing Baldur's Gate 3.

Depends on your definition of "on the go". Certainly true, though, when you refer to a worktrip during which you spend free time in a hotel after hours.
This is a gorgeous device. I’m currently using an ancient Xbox 360 for gaming and play a lot of shooters, call of duty modern warfare being my favorite. I’m a graduate student and love to game in my free time. I would love to get my hands on this laptop as it’s my dream machine.

Also I would like to add that the Graphics card on these models have higher wattages which result in higher FPS then the competition as well as advanced cooling! Oh and a mux switch which once again equals more FPS!! Very good bang for your buck and a good investment as this will play AAA games for years to come :) Would love to win one myself. From a prespective of an IT student, I just love the keyboards on the legion series laptops. I've been using a Legion 5i 2020 for about a year now and although it's a bit loud even on the quite mode when coding, it's really hard to look at something else. Good job Lenovo.
I think laptops finally can be an actual desktop replacement. I'm playing EOA4, but can't wait for Star Wars Eclipse to launch. This powerhouse should run it np.
Looks like a good laptop. Recently switched from an HP Omen i5/1050 to an M1 Mac. It's a great general purpose machine but, for gaming, I'm having to use my Desktop which is working pretty well for MS Flight Sim and Elite Dangerous. I suspect they'd look even better on this. Presumably it'll run a Rift S VR setup without issues too

This would be a great office machine if Lenovo would decide to remove the numeric pad, imagine if you could have speakers that would fire up instead of bouncing on the bottom side. Being a 16" and seeing the lovely keyboard I would certainly think about this brand as a replacement for what I have today.
The numeric pad is helpful for content creaters and 3d artists haha. Hard for lenovo to cater to everyone but indeed not having a numeric pad will make it look "cleaner". but personally i prefer having a number pad :D
The thing i like about gaming laptops is how they perform well in video editing. I play a lot of Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat on my $450 laptop but so far so good. Great content here though.

2:57 in the perfect world this panel would be glossy. With this much brightness there would be no reflections visible, but the colors would be PERFECT. Bright, vivid, rich and natural-looking.
Got this for work, fully decked with 3080, 2x2TB SSD's and 64Gb Ram. The only gripe is the RGB which can't be set in Bios. Had my occasional board room frowns over the light show as the laptop powered up. Other than that, it is a pretty capable piece of equipment. We use it e.g. for real-time 3D presentations.
I'm irish and travelling Australia passed 2 years, was looking at gaming laptops to satisfy my gaming needs as I really want to play cyber punk. Think is might be the right laptop to buy, thank you

I was just going through RUclips to see which laptops from 2021 to save up for this new year, and I was getting frustrated as I wasn't seeing what I'd like to buy kept going back and forth with which laptop had a good balance of both CPU and GPU with less trouble as many other laptops. Was researching both on my phone and laptop when I saw that you video was just uploaded two weeks ago which means that this laptop was released not too long ago. I'm really excited with all the specs and good balance of the laptop. I was playing FIFA 19 before I started my research on a i5 9300h with gtx 1650. Performs well but not at the level I need a laptop to perform. I'll be going back to playing my fifa. Peace!

The legion 5 pro screen only opens up to a 140 ish degree angle vs the 180 degree screen that this has. I own the legion 5 pro but they gimped the memory with Hynix single rank ram.
My current laptop is 5+ years old and is beginning to make some rather interesting fan noises these days. I'd be really thankful if I were to win one, since I cannot afford a new system with my responsibilities, student debt and a new baby as well. Thanks for doing this!

2:57 in the perfect world this panel would be glossy. With this much brightness there would be no reflections visible, but the colors would be PERFECT. Bright, vivid, rich and natural-looking.
Got this for work, fully decked with 3080, 2x2TB SSD's and 64Gb Ram. The only gripe is the RGB which can't be set in Bios. Had my occasional board room frowns over the light show as the laptop powered up. Other than that, it is a pretty capable piece of equipment. We use it e.g. for real-time 3D presentations.

So, happy new year Tech Chap and to everyone else in the comments. I was just going through RUclips to see which laptops from 2021 to save up for this new year, and I was getting frustrated as I wasn't seeing what I'd like to buy kept going back and forth with which laptop had a good balance of both CPU and GPU with less trouble as many other laptops. Was researching both on my phone and laptop when I saw that you video was just uploaded two weeks ago which means that this laptop was released not too long ago. I'm really excited with all the specs and good balance of the laptop. I was playing FIFA 19 before I started my research on a i5 9300h with gtx 1650. Performs well but not at the level I need a laptop to perform. I'll be going back to playing my fifa. Peace!

Can’t complain about the possibility of getting a brand new laptop for Christmas! My old one has become unusable since it frequently overheats and is just generally outdated. This would be a dream purchase, without the purchase! 🤞🏼

I love your channel, excellent detailed reviews always, I think I prefer the Legion 5 Pro over this, you get the same benefits but a few hundred dollars cheaper.
Side note: This video seemed unusually compressed even at 4k for some odd reason
The legion 5 pro screen only opens up to a 140 ish degree angle vs the 180 degree screen that this has. I own the legion 5 pro but they gimped the memory with Hynix single rank ram.
My current laptop is 5+ years old and is beginning to make some rather interesting fan noises these days. I'd be really thankful if I were to win one, since I cannot afford a new system with my responsibilities, student debt and a new baby as well. Thanks for doing this!

Lenovo is really taking over the laptop market this year in high and mid range that's really impressive. I'm playing Guild Wars 2 and Witcher 3 right now
That base model is quite the beast. Rn I'm still playing OW and D2. Hope to eventually be able to play these new titles.

I still have the Legion 5 and looking to upgrade to probably this one soon. The 5 is still so powerful even today. Lenovo has some amazing platforms with absolutely bonkers specs

What a beast! Looks it's got it all, productivity and gaming all in one well designed package. Sadly my HP Folio G1 will to have soldier on a little longer for now.
