  • See Mos is excited to announce the production our new documentary titled, “A Day in the Life of a Sea Moss Farmer.”
This doc follows a typical work day of their sea moss farmers, Jervania and Larry. Our aim in the creation of this story is to create awareness of the process of sea moss harvesting and the amount of work that goes behind it. And, to highlight the importance of sustainable and regenerative harvesting practices.
We're looking to break the stigma of wild-crafted and ocean-harvested sea moss is very important to them.
Continue to follow Jervania and Larry and why ocean harvesting is the best way to harvest sea moss as it allows for a sustainable harvest without depleting wild ocean plants and/or disrupting natural ecosystems in the process of harvesting. We're also highlights the beautiful natural landscape of St Lucia!
This documentary was produced by a 100% St Lucian team:
    Producer: Nelson Serieux ‪@LanLawd‬
    Executive Producers:
    Presh Productions ‪@preshproductions8313‬

This is Beautiful. In st.vincent we have sea moss ranging from light brown, brown, reddish brown and bright green.
During the drying process, however, it is normal for these hues to naturally change. The bright green turns to darker shades of greens to grey, the reddish brown turns into a darker shade of purple and the brown to light brown turns into a pink to light purple hue.

Hi there! Thank you for your efforts and striving for a more environmentally friendly method. I love the idea of glass bottles and natural fiber ropes, ties and undyed cotton, hemp, jute, etc. fabric flags. I do however, encourage you to stop bleaching the moss. Bleaching only removes vital nutrients. And there’s plastic/oil offgasing.
Perhaps there’s another kind of sea plant(s) that can also cohabitate along with it in the farms so it’s not just a single mono crop?
May you and your farms be truly blessed 💚
    Kindly 🙏

Our aim is to not only offer premium sea moss to our customers, we also are big on protecting the ocean. In the case of wild harvesting, we are taking from the ocean without giving back to the ocean. Ocean harvesting gives us the opportunity to provide a regenerative approach. Additionally, contrary to many arguments, which research and studies show, that sea weeds such as sea moss do not have roots systems where they absorb minerals from rocks. They absorb the minerals from the sea.
