  • Mussel farming is an international aquaculture industry established in many parts of the world, including Scandinavia, Spain, New Zealand, China and Canada. They are important as a human food, can be turned into a valuable omega-3 extract, or an ingredient in fish feed, and are also used in animal feed, particularly in China.
In today's video will be the detailed process of the mussel farming industry.

$11 a kg in pack and save Te Awamutu NZ last Friday 1. sept 2023.
I was so shocked that such things were so expensive, and they still had their shells on.
Walked on by looks like a Delacy like these are way to heavy for my pocket these days, and I love them as much as any kiwi.

@@NoalFarm2020 big issue they are finding on the pacific coast mussel and scallop farms is the ocean is absorbing alot of the carbon dioxide released so its acidifying the oceans more and more. they are finding the mussels and scallops are not reproducing because of it. some have introduced buffers to fix the problem in small sections but its gonna be a big issue in the future.

Great. How long does that take, how efficient is that process in terms of reliable production, and how vulnerable is that process to dynamite fishing, another interesting technique that is employed by many fisherfolk in the Philippines?
