    I like how the presenter talked about Americans, but this truck was never sold in America. It was completely different than the NA Ranger.

      Except the diesel at that time is underpowered, putting out 103 HP I think. But mpg is pretty good like my dad's Mighty max/Triton Turbodiesel.
      What's interesting is that model year with the N/A Diesel engine is more better in 0-60 than the turbo, but will face differences than the Powerstroke V8's I have in the U.S.

      Britain and the EU have completely different weight classes and licensing arrangements so you’ll never see American pickups sold over here. Many of them need a commercial license. Not that there aren’t enthusiasts, but it’s a big thing to take on.

      I agree. Until recent years because we don't get them now. :( I do wish Ford offered the Diesel more in the ones in the states. Even if it wouldn't be the quickest, it would be nice to have. If you're super lucky you can find an 80s ranger with the 2.3 diesel. Hold onto it if you do!

      America Rangers aren't even Diesel. You're a fool if you think North America Rangers are better than this. The third world market pick up trucks are real working truck's

    • @beaviccoon470
      @beaviccoon470 2 года назад

      @@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess Ye the new ford rangers in well basically everywhere except America are more work horses but the American ones are pretty much lifestyle vehicles. I mean common the American rangers payload is already maxed out with 5 adults in the truck, not an issue with the worldwide version.

      RetroCrazed1 yeah, never seen a 4-door one in North America....must be Euro-spec I guess. I was gonna say I'm envious they got a turbo-diesel, but apparently it was a dog.

      Because this is a collaboration with Matsuda, these small pick up trucks are mostly for Latin America or other third world markets. Third world markets have a lot of great trucks that north America or Europe never got, like double cab Hilux, a variety of Land cruisers, specially the open top 70 series Land cruiser (for Middle east market too), or the long wheel base Suzuki samurai SJ413. They also have the Chevrolet D20 which is a GREAT truck! Which is a small to medium truck but in South America it's considered a big truck, it had bench front roll and sits 6 and had spacious bed, and it's strong and Diesel like a working truck should be. The latin America Chevy D20 is both comfy and strong

    I have an American made 1999 ranger. And till this day all I've done to it is oil change, brakes, and change coolant. Witch I did myself and wasn't too hard. 141735 miles and still runs like a champ being a 4 banger.

      Get either factory size tires if you don't already, or go slightly smaller. Gear a little higher, accelerate a little slower. But you'd be surprised how much large tires eat your MPG. Try to stay bellow 70 on these. They do good at 55 for gas.
