- The song “Boom”, (a.k.a. “She’s So Hot”), from Flight of the Conchords Season 1 Episode 2, is an inner monologue sung by Bret while conversing with Coco, the attractive new sign holder. The song is performed in an electronic/dancehall style similar to that of Jamaican artist Shaggy. The lyrics centre around his attraction to Coco but are distinguished by the fact that nearly all nouns are replaced by the word "boom". The accompanying video features Bret and Coco dancing in front of an animated background and has strong similarities to The Black Eyed Peas' "Hey Mama" video. Also featured prominently during the sequence is a 1980s Casio DG20 digital guitar (set to mandolin).
This track is dangerous. It sneaks up on you in EVERY occasion. Very popular during work meetings. 😅
Whoever does the costumes for these 2 is a genius. The sweater with the penguins is straight fire.
i feel like the real Bret just dresses like that and wore his own clothes haha
When the mousy girlfriend from a few Flight of the Conchords is actually two-time Tony Award winning legend Sutton Foster. She's actually more famous than they are now.
In my mind I pretend they are all still pals because I am obsessed with them AND her.
I very much doubt that,
In what possible matrix is she more famous than the worlds 4th choice of New Zealand celebrities
Never heard of her
@@questionblock8949 Her show Younger ran seven seasons, I think she's probably less famous than Jemaine, but more famous than Bret or Flight of the Conchords.
"Back in New Zealand Jemaine went shopping at a local pawn shop and discovered a strange digital guitar from the eighties. It was like a casio-tone keyboard but it was a guitar. He tested it out and found that the low-tech hybrid was a mongrel of an instrument definitely not worth $163. The next day Bret went shopping in the same local pawn shop unaware that Jemaine had been there the day before. Bret’s reaction to the strange instrument was quite different. That afternoon he arrived at band practice with the mongrel keytar in his hands. That day the DG20 casio-tone digital guitar begat the song She’s So Hot Boom."
His name is Brit. Get it right man.
I always find that the women in Flight of the conchords are always hot without being obviously hot
Even Mel?
@@XBKLYN especially Mel
I love how he is not even paying attention to her describing the economic collapse of the new Zealand film industry after the Hobbit.
"enough small boom lets boom the boom"" "we both assume we're gonna boom boom boom til the break of boom" HAHAHA
So good!!
Ear me now
Sutton Foster was my babysitter when she was in high school. I was too young to remember her, sadly, but my parents have always spoken highly of her. They did not stay in touch, double sadly.
I took my helmet off, I said I'm not a professional.
"Like a bride and a booma" HA!!!!
Sixist.
Sean Paul looked different back then
"......eeehhh....yeah!" lol. That's how I am these days. I just let people be wrong. It's easier.
"there are Vikings there, right ?".......(when she's too cute to contradict)....... "Uh, yeah "
“Ear ma nao!”
I always under-rate Brit!.. I dont know why > he's just as funny as Jemaine Murray and Dave.. This is one(1) of his showcases.. So great!..
