UGK stood firm on their principles and morals. Everyone that I know that listened to UGK growing up turned out to be some solid people. UGK just wasn't about pimpin and selling drugs. The showed us the other side of the game and how to stay humble and ten toes down in the bad times. They really were the Underground Kingz and they definitely deserve more flowers for what they contributed to the culture. 👑UGK 4 LIFE

@@brothajames817 No doubt! I've always had a affinity for searching for the original samples of my favorite producers tracks. Eugene's Headless Heroes album has a few of my favorite samples on there. To my knowledge Q-Tip 🐐 was the first to dig from that album. But Pimp did a great job recreating the sample for Pocket Full Of Stones
Bun B is always 1 of 2 that i mention when underrated, under appreciated rappers are brought up along with Fabolous. I will never forget how he carried the torch for UGK when Pimp was away. And Pimp is one of the coolesr rappers to ever do it in his own right. Hip Hop royalty right here.
Bro much respect to Wicked and B High for having Bun B on the show you two brothers are hanging on to his every word and I am to I've seen multiple UGK interviews but this much breakdown into Pimp C's and Buns career is intense and historic

One of my favorite memories of Bun B had nothing to do with music. I forget the name of the hurricane but when Houston was hit and people were in need I remember Bun B all over Twitter totally focused on getting people in need the help they needed and directing people to where help could be found. That left a lasting impression on me. Bun B is a good man. May GOD continue to bless him and his family.
I remember my first time hearing UGK back in 93. Being from SE Texas you could feel every verse. Still to this day there’s not a UGK album I can’t jam from beginning to end. They are southern rap legends. TOO REAL!!!!
Super Tight! I remember I was 13 and ripped off BMG when you could get like 10 CD’s for a $1 and my old man got the bill and told BMG to shove it since they sold to a kid🤣
Man UGK stayed the same. They would tour Texas from Houston Hearn Gaviston Killeen Round rock Austin etc. When they were with Magic Mark Outing. In a green Caddy. Riding to Skating Rings Club and all. Working and performance would blow you away. I know from living in Texas. One of the best groups ever hands down. RIP my nigga Pimp C.

I like Pocket Full of Stones 1 and 2!! Especially the way Pimp opens Part 2. It’s cool to see what they sampled and where he got it from
