Boomer to diamond was one of the first videos of yours I watched, and is still my go to when I get discouraged. I'm gonna make it to diamond too eventually!
The fact that a year ago i started watching hooj, and my rank was silver 1/bronze 3 and nowdays i hit diamond is crazy The banana man truly is one of the best coaches i've came across on youtube, and i'm super glad to have watched JPC journey so far! It's amazing to see how many people hooj helped out
@@abdulrahmannaif3852 Yeah, I mean, I had no FPS background, had to learn the core mechanics, aim train, etc. And I wasn't able to play everyday, so it was like 3-4 matches a week

Day 559 of thanking and appreciating Woohoojin and Penflash for their educational, entertaining, and informative valorant content. The boomer to Diamond series made me fall in love with valorant improvement, thank you for this supercut of the series Woohoojin. Missing my banana coach.
The Val community is vile on the whole imo. Imagine flaming one of the best most genuine coaches we’ve ever had because he maybe didn’t hit radiant as though his coaching still isn’t valid. It’s the fucking Dan Marino argument. Oh well he’s not Tom Brady so he sucks.
@@Mevripidou84 He never actually got the radiant rank nor was a radiant level player while constantly claiming the achievement, he had a student boosting his account so he could get the gun buddy. Got caught, tried to hit the rank legitimately but wasn't able to so he quit the YT game after the drop in viewers and subscribers. There are people that claim it doesn't really matter since the coaching helped them, specially players in the lower ranks, but a big part of his brand was based off of a lie. Hope this clarified it.
from silver 2 to plat 1 in a couple of days, this really helped refine some differences between CSGO and valorant for me. as i always say its the "league of legends" part of the game that i need help with and thank you for explaining why to do what you do
Will absolutely fall asleep to this and hopefully get some knowledge. I'm also a boomer, but at this point I'm just playing console Valorant. Got back into video games during COVID lockdowns with COD/Apex.. Was once a CS player (pre GO) and played two seasons of CAL M. This game reminds me of CS meets Apex without the BR element. Having a blast!
i remember when this series started and i found hooj and how inspiring jpc was - i might not be in my 40s, but ive always wanted to be better than i am at the games i play and i wouldnt of gotten out of my bronze hardstuck era without hooj's videos and this series in how much it motivated me to pursue improving my gameplay. i only got to gold 2 as a peak since but i have had a lot of things happen in my life that made me not be able to put as much hours into improving or playing as much i wouldve wanted to, but thats ok bc i still have so much time to get better and improve either way, thank you hooj for your videos (i will still be using them to help me figure out what i can do to get better
This is the best, most interesting, most informative, most uplifting, most encouraging Valorant video I ever watched (and I watched a few). Me, I am also beyond 40, dad, absolutely love this game, am much worse at it than JPC at the beginning. But still this gives me so much hope and reason to stick to it and invest the little time I have. Feeling pretty alone with it (I play on console), but one day... 🙏
Hey Hooj: thanks for doing this series. I miss jpc and his content immensely. Are you guys still in touch? Cheers to you for keeping up the content. If you feel the need to do another of these series, I'm 42, an eSports advisor at a high school, and willing to throw down. Nice job with this video and the full ones in the series!
Watching and learning from the series rn. Started grinding Valorant again a month ago, went from bronze 2 to silver 2. I'll try to keep the grind up and see how far I can come. Thank you banana man.
this is really informative - kind of been hard stuck s1-2 for a few months now and i’m really just seeing patience is what i’m missing . this does also bring up the topic of the smurfs in our silver elos now since this was recorded back when pearl was still in rotation and assuming astra still had her 5th star..
Hi Woohoojin, you may never read this, but thank you for all your videos, I've only watched a few and haven't managed to improve if at all (I'm bornze), but then again I'm also not a frequent player. Then I watched this video and thought "If a 40 year old man can improve that much, then I can at least improve a bit", so I opened Valo, did some warm-up in the range like you showed him, then I top fragged on my team in a team deathmatch and escalation game. I know they're not ranked, but that's the first time I've been able to do that even though I started playing back when Riot was giving the Valo keys in twitch drops. Also to stop playing Valo like a horror game, not gonna lie, my first game back in, since it's been a while, I literally jumped a bit at the first enemy on my screen.
This is cute and inspiring since I'm close to the same situation (night college student and working full time) and valorant is the second game I've ever played and my first fps, I felt unmotivated to play ranked since I don't have much time to play and improve. You are a very patient coach and the video is quite fun to watch,,, thank you so much❤❤
Mr. Banana I once watched a 7 hours videos essay on the walking simulator produced by Hideo Kojima, if you think measly 2 hour is enough to put me to sleep you underestimate my neurodivergence Sir Who'sWhoojin
Quick question: Did you tell JPC to change his crosshair to dot? If yes then why? Cause i try to use it more often but sometimes it’s not comfortable so i change it to a mid plus crosshair. I tap more heads with dot but it doesn’t feel comfortable why???
5:41 I did tune into boomer to diamond occasionally but now I really know what hooj meant when he said I have early JPC aim (or something to that effect).
I’m also in my thirties. Just started playing valorant; as I no longer enjoy overwatch like I used to. Was able to climb to masters 5 in OW2 and have been playing since the beta. Rn I’m silver 1 in Val. We shall see if I can grind to diamond.
the banana man is farming that sweet delicious passive revenue (can't blame him because I also farmed that sweet potassium advice at the beginning of the videos for years)
Started valo some time ago. Been trying to apply hooj advice to make it Outta iron (iron 3 but I dereanked to iron 2) and I hope I can atleast make silver so I can follow this advice and play along w him(except I'm duelist main lmao)
As someone who hasent played valorant since beta ( and will never return ), the information provided here does have some carry over between other tac shooters. thanks
why isnt woohoojin telling him to run it down and take every fight? i thought below gold there is no strategy? but goonhoojin is telling him to lurk mid as viper in silver elo???
it's learning all parts of the game at once. if you learn movement, aiming and strategy, you'll be a more consistent player once you hit diamond. if you hit diamond just running it down, you'll never win against players that can aim and think sometimes.
