Doesn’t matter if you’re fighting a corrupt politician, a very big cup, a set of tsundere twins, a first year going through an identity crisis, the embodiment of said first year, an egg boi in a car, or a small girl who shows up at the end of the game and gets more screen time and character development than Haru, this song slaps hard and is one of the best in the soundtrack.
She is going through an identity crisis because of a quack scientist who shouldn’t be a therapist because he STILL hasn’t gone over his trauma yet. And his biases bled into his counseling.

Like the human psyche is under siege by their own personal demons and the Phantom Thieves are offering respite by unkinking that hangup and making everyone's lives more relaxed - and giving not just the people letting their demons win, but also their victims that desperately needed relief. Also... SPOILERS . .. . . . . . . . . Given the final zone and everyone being taken prisoner to await the end days, all because of a battle between Igor and Yaldabaoth, it very much feels like a prisoner of war situation... And with the human psyche being the battleground, that just makes me feel all the more like "Oasis in a sieged land" makes sense.

By becoming this oasis of hope in the sieged land that is the human psyche, they can create new lives, or rather, correct lives. To say an oasis in a sieged land would do nothing is simply wrong. In a land dry and desolate and devoid of any means to really sustain yourself, an oasis is the difference between life and death, and militaries knew this. Holding an oasis meant giving your people water and survival.
Sorry but she DOES sing "sieged" land, even if that's not the lyrics. Sometimes her pronunciation in the songs is just a little off. But every damn song in this game is epic as hell regardless.

despite p5a problems of jumping arcs and inconsistent animation, it shows exactly how op joker is. if you compare to makoto and yu (before they awakened their true persona), he's the strongest. makoto struggles againts tartarus and other and also being an ineffective wild card user, yu use his wild card power very well but he's the weakest, and there's joker, literally no diffing shido and pretty much hardcarry his team with futaba.

I always thought it was “A heartbeat for a Demon.” Like the Palace Ruler’s Shadows quit being heartless monsters or “demons”, once they’re beaten, and their heartbeat symbolizes their being reformed.
I remember when I got to shidos phase where the lyrics first kick in, out of SP except a little with joker to constantly keep his attack down. No SP restoratives either. Having to fight shido with physical/gun/normal attacks and items. Seems impossible, then the lyrics kick in. Joker on his turn says "It's time". Got his ass on that attempt too.
