What we are not taking into consideration is if the child has an intellectual disability. If so, then the parent should have definitely taken control of the chil and apologized to the Kings Guard. My granddaughter has autism and displays similar behaviors. I would stay with her if she wanted to see the horse.

No doubt many viewers will recall a distressing event some time ago. A teenage girl wearing a pale blue hood, greeted the horse, which nuzzled her. While being photographed, she twice HIT the horse across the face with a look of distaste, and then a third time, when the guard finally realised the horse was being abused. She was reprimanded but sidled away with her mates, a wide unconcerned smile showing her complete disdain. A very upsetting incident, in my view. Please introduce strong protection , in some form, for these tourist- abused animals.

While being photographed, she twice HIT the horse across the face with a look of distaste, and then a third time, when the guard finally realised the horse was being abused. She was reprimanded but sidled away with her mates, a wide unconcerned smile showing her complete disdain. A very upsetting incident, in my view. Please introduce strong protection , in some form, for these tourist- abused animals.
If that was my child, he would be getting reprimanded for his behavior. Where are his parents?
They took the opportunity of him being distracted by the horse and abandoned the kid.

Seriously I know this child is excited but he keeps running round the horse screaming when it comes close is really agitating me & I am sat on my sofa. Our wonderful troopers and horses have some patience to cope with this.

Oh heavens above!!! The horse is trained for a little aggravation........allow the horse to deal with the kid exactly as the rider is doing: stops the horse getting bored, he absolutely knows how to handle a child........thankfully the rider sees the mother can't handle him and allows compassion toward him ❤

The police in that area should have stopped this boy’s tormenting the horse. The guard should have hit the call button and told the responder about that boy’s behavior. The one officer told the one mother but the one that really needed the talking to was allowed to have her child harass the horse.
