Yes like MEtallica's black album, it brought in a ton of new fans, but was also the exact point at which they turned to crap. Issues was a major style shift from their previous stuff and it's just not interesting. They started doing that whole singing in an echo chamber and cat whining crap and got away from the sound that made them rise to fame in the first place. This album is OVER rated, not under rated.

Dealing with the suicide of my little brother this album helped me SO damn much. I love the way Jonathan Davis's mind works, he is BRILLIANT and the band is so fucking great, still today with the release of The Nothing and Black Labyrinth, they are....God I cant even think of a powerful enough word to describe what I feel, just fucking greatness. This is KoRn's best studio record. I love their earlier stuff and some the stuff they released since Issues. But everything about Issues is just rock solid and earth shattering. I can't listen to one song on this record without wanting to listen to another, and it's just as moving today as it was when I first heard Falling Away From Me and Make Me Bad on the radio when I was 13 years old.

Still couldn't understand those journalists call this album a flop when it was released. They called it all sorts of names like repetitive, same song structure, tired old same lyrics etc.
It was fine by me when I listened but some of the critics gave it terrible ratings.

Even through all the genres and subgenres of metal I go through this will always be one of my favorites. Even if musically it doesn't touch anything that's out today, this album hits home
