@@mustardgreen6312 Yes One side I could reach the cross bar. other side i did 4 holes due to the platform covering the cross bar. And I got a bit longer bolts due to the tent sits on the platform not just on the cross rails. All worked fine even in light offroading
That’s freaking sweet! I love how small it is! I have a 79” Thule cross bar that’s wide enough to fit both my RTT and my bike rack on the roof of my 2020 Outback. Really like the design of this and how small it is. May have to look into selling mine
@@mustardgreen6312 Id be a little worried because the stock cross bars sit lower than the black side moulding. When you flip out the tent it may rest on the black cladding
4Runner owners with a prinsu rack. The stock bolts need to be replaced with shorter one and it is a very nasty install because of clearances even with the official prinsu spacers. This video is a great overview but be mindful that when he’s installing, it’s a cardboard box or foam under the cover. There is ZERO way to simply lift the 120 pound tent with one hand that easily to slide the bolts around. The cover itself is the hardest part to reinstall when closing everything up. I love the tent and it’s incredibly stable even for a large man as myself.
Is there a narrow cargo box that could be used with this? The narrow fit and room left over on the roof is a must! Also does this model come with an annex?
It depends on the type of bars, e.g. square bars, Edge, etc. They state the “a Thule rooftop tent is not recommended Thule Edge racks but it’s OK on Thule WingBar Evo, Thule SquareBar Evo and Thule ProBar Evo
So Thule is becoming the IKEA of roof boxes LOL! But joke aside, I wonder if you can pull up the ladder, and how this thing would hold up in a strong storm?! Edit: I figured why you can't pull up the ladder LMAO
Then, having set up your small cheap tent you can drive off during the day to visit places instead of having to strike the whole tent then put it all back up every…..single…..time……😂
I just put this on My Renegade Trail hawk...and wow its awesome. Still have 50% of my Rhino Rack empty for other items. A game changer this is!!
Hey! Can you answer me some questions on this cartent? pls
So you were able to fasten it to a rack other than Thule?

I'm really hoping it will fit my factory installed Subaru Outback cross bar.

The guy I been looking for. Does this clear the fin on the 5th gen? Also, how hard was it to lift onto the roof? Thanks my dude.
yeah i noticed how they lifted and moved it around with ease, def no tent in there lol

Best design and high quality a bit pricey but great materials and workmanship.
Love it but would I need a mortgage?
I guess it makes opening the hatch back kinda tuff. At least can’t open it all the way
You can close it with the tarp on ive been doing it for the last 2 weeks camping its a pain in the arse tho, probably shoulda watched the vid first
Meh. I like the smaller footprint on the roof but the overall setup is pretty ridiculous
Could I use this on my VW Tiguan? It says VW with roof railing can hold 220? Is that the cross bars?

In their website, it is possible to enter vehicles, roof types and rack types to get recommendations on the fits
Check out the poor guys left thumb, it’s completely black. Looks like he trapped it painfully in the tent pre video shoot!

Sooo cool 😎
I want! Thats if we are ever allowed to get back on the road....
What a load of hassle, easier to put a tent on the floor !
Yes but some people are afraid of snakes or bugs even so they would use this system no matter what.
I can't imagine a short person "trying" to set this thing on the top of a pick up truck or full size suv
They need to cut down the time it takes to setup.
whats up with his hands
Maybe I'll buy a simple tent for 50 bucks!

I think it's still too time-consuming to setup ...
it takes the same as a regular tent. hes just going at a slow pace to show how simple it is.
Nice ,,,2 person,,,, indonesia
Boring...too long
