- Hello everyone, and welcome back to another figure review. Today, we are taking a look at the reissue of one of DBZ's most beloved characters, and one of S.H.Figuarts most controversial releases. Since he originally released back in 2023, there have been reports of quality control issues that plagued what could have easily been one of Tamashii's best releases to date. They have since reissued him, and people have stated he's QC issues have been resolved. Let's find out today if that's true.

VERY glad he came out. I no longer have to constantly repose him cause his hips and ankles can actually support themselves.
NOTE: my copy has a nasty seam line on the base head where the mold meets. Probably just mine but be weary.

Hate to hear you have a nasty seam line on the base form head. QC on that head sculpt probably could have used a little more attention as the paint on mine looks a little clumpy. At least the accessories from the original are compatible if your old head looks better than the reissue!
Recently fixed up an initial run Trunks. Had to fix the shirt, loose hips, and in my case duper loose ankles. Ended up stabbing myself with an exacto blade fixing the ankles 😂😂😂

nice review, i would prefer a little lose belt for the sword to avoid ripping the peg off like the old trunks figures.

What i don't really get is why Trunks got a base form head, but not anyone else
For real. Wish they'd give more base form heads out for other figures without having to buy another release to head swap with. But I guess that's how they get you.
Didn't Goku Black had both Rose head and base head? Or was that just from some KO?
@@maister3287 Yes, the OG Goku Black did come with both head sculpts.
I just glued the belt for the sword since I’ll never take it off.
That’s not a bad idea. I may honestly do the same if I get fed up with it coming off.
Does anyone know where to buy the reissue? I know pbandai had it a while back but they don’t have it no more so :/
I grabbed mine off of eBay at a premium of $20 over MSRP. Anthony’s Customs reported getting it off of Amazon, but it’s 50/50 because he said he bought another one and it was the original. There’s a good chance P-Bandai will restock eventually. They’ve still got a hold in place on any orders that aren’t preorders for whatever reason though.

If I buy the trunks through Amazon is it a 50/50 on it being the reissue ?
@@crossflowers1095 that’s what Anthony’s Customs reported- got lucky the first time, bought another and it was an original.

At this point your best bet is to either try searching on eBay and pay a markup, or try Amazon and hope they send you a reissue. If you’re patient, P-Bandai’s Tamashii Nations web store may wind up restocking it in the near future.
Too bad they never fixed his size. He is too tall.
Scaling in this line is all over the place for sure, and it's definitely apparent on figures like Androids 19 and 20.
