Oh he’s killer in hand, couldn’t stress that enough lol but I agree. For the price point, if you’ve got other figures you’d like to pick up first, I’d grab the ones you want for sure. Turles and the DBS Broly figures are pretty awesome too. You and me both. Between work, life and doing reviews, it’s hard to find some free time!

Final Form Cooler, Super Buu, SS4 Goku and Vegeta (Vegeta a bit less so, but still), Full Power and Ikari Broly, First Form Frieza, 2nd form Frieza, Full Power Frieza and Legendary Super Saiyan Goku are all immediate examples of top of the line figures. There might be a few other ones. Turles is great too, from what I've heard.

@@Zakjuh​​⁠SS4 Goku is in my top 10. As you said, he’s a great example of some of the better figures they’ve released.

@@Darkclaw643 thank you! It is the AIR Studio’s kit AIR002. I have the AIR001 that I plan on talking about in the review for LSSJ Goku that makes him look like the Warrior Awakening Goku. And believe it or not, the tail actually fits, pegs in with no issue. Not gonna lie, looks pretty damn good lol thanks for the suggestion!

It sold out pretty quick after posting this review. Only place I can think of where to find the pink set is on eBay, but it's a lil' pricey.

I hundred percent get the sentiment. Personally, I’m really feeling burnt out by the Namek Saga releases. I want to keep up, but it’s getting annoying getting releases of all these B list characters when we should be getting Semi-Perfect Cell, a brand new Cell or even start dabbling into the Buu saga. I’m hoping with them rereleasing Fat Buu it’ll lead to us getting more Buu Saga characters.

@@Teh1337Reviews I was fine for most of the Namek releases, but I did skip Dodoria(no idea why I even bothered with Zarbon lmao) the armor Gohan and Krillin along with the most recent Vegeta. The real stand outs were Ginyu and Frieza form 2.

I've also joined that club of not caring about these figures anymore. I've been collecting since 2012. My first ever figure is sdcc 2010 goku, and all did is collect collect every release. But Bandai and tamashii nations have oversatuarted the market with the same molds and don't really give us nothing new. This line, at least in my eyes, is effectively dead. Even the newer style packaging is straight garbage. I miss the old school packaging from back in the early 2010s.

Not the biggest Godzilla fan to give a solid opinion on the figures. And if I was a fan, I’ve seen enough of the QC issues with the Godzilla MonsterArts line to steer away lol I’ll let someone like Steven’s Toy Reviews talk about them.

Oh it’s dope looking and I get the excitement- that’s how I felt when Blue-Eyes was announced.

Hey there! Only place I can think of is eBay if you want the 2020 version. As for the event exclusive, it’s going to be available at NYCC during the event, so Oct. 17th-20th. Then, it “should” go live on P-Bandai for preorder the day after the event concludes. That’s how they’ve done it in the past.

@@Darkclaw643 Very nice. The 3.0 Trunks is solid, just make sure to get the reissue! As for the Piccolo, he’s solid and poses nicely. He’s also one I want to review at some point. And the Super Hero Gohan is nice for the price point.

If they gave Gogeta the same treatment as this Vegito, I’d pick it up for sure. I’m crossing my fingers for a new Z Broly sculpt or his restrained Super Saiyan form. 🤞

Not my top pick for sure.

Not a dumb question at all. The peg for this head sculpt is smaller than the 3.0 Trunks and the Battle Armor Trunks. Out of curiosity, I had the 3.0 Teen Gohan, SDCC SSJ2 Gohan and LSSJ Goku handy, and funnily enough the head sculpt fits perfect on those bodies. But yeah, the skin tone is WAY off lol If you have the original, you could swap the faces from that over to this head sculpt and it doesn't look too bad actually.

Awesome, thank you for that information! Really weird it fits on those bodies, I kinda like the idea of these heads on the SSJ Goku! But had a feeling about that skin tone. I definitely don’t have the original either. I’ve noticed this version is still up for preorder and one of those late night purchase we end up regretting almost reared its ugly head 😂 I’m still undecided but thank you again!

There’s probably no right answer to this question, but I personally think Naruto is known for Justus and ninja accessories. It’d be a travesty if Sasuke didn’t come with a Chidori or Naruto without a Rasengan and some kunai. Then again, begs the question why not a Kamehameha or Galick Gun for the DBZ figures? Tamashii’s been slacking for sure on the DBZ line, but I think they’re getting the message we want more bang for our buck.

@@kaioken654 the look is definitely not for everyone. I’m a believer that something has to be different to really make it stand out or be unique. Good Buu is getting a reissue, and he was an event exclusive for 2022, so maybe Super Trunks will get the same treatment one day or have another campaign for a reissue like with SSB Vegeta.

I appreciate it! Yeah, I don't think the skin tone is as bad as people were making it out to be. I guess a person could account for inflation and Bandai's probably banking on the consumer to continue to pay the prices. Maybe the paint jobs are more expensive? I don't know. NYCC Broly was $90 in 2022, and the year before that SSB Kaio-Ken Goku was $60, although he's smaller than Broly, but they at least came with aura effect pieces. Just a bummer Trunks and Jiren didn't come with one, and now Vegito gets one. And to be honest, this year's Goku was probably the best one of the bunch anyways.

@@seancurtis6236 typically no. I’ve only ever seen it happen on their Gundam model kits, the 2020 Dragon Ball event exclusives and I think the 2022 event exclusive SSJ2 Goku. They’ve got pre-orders open on the Goku to allow someone to buy 99 of them with no close date on the preorder, and typically they’re limited to 2 per person with a small preorder window. It’s safe to say you’ll be good till Thursday.

Thanks! The only issue I'm having right now post review is in the waist section. I think I applied too much silicon oil by accident to take care of that creaking I talked about, and the waist wobbles a bit and won't hold a crunched pose well. That's on me though and I'm currently working on fixing it. Outside of that, it's more solid feeling than the OG release but will have tighter tolerances as I mentioned in the video to be mindful of.

@@fluflammer1 You've got plenty of time to decide if you want it, so don't feel pressured into getting it right now. As for the waist, I still think I did that to myself for using too much shock oil by accident. But I took a piece of the protective plastic they use to prevent paint transfer and put it into the socket of the waist to tighten it up. Good as new.

@@DamianFermin-by8dq Many within the S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball community view the LSSJ Goku as the definitive Goku figure at the moment given its articulation and sculpt. I think it's a solid figure, and to answer your question, I'd take the LSSJ Goku over the Toyotaro MUI Goku for sure. But always go after what you want. If you're set on the MUI Goku, get it. If you don't care for the book that comes with the Toyotaro MUI Goku, you can look at getting the reissue of the original MUI Goku this November. It's cheaper and if you plan on doing head swaps later down the road, it'll look so much better too given the neck peg sits down further. Won't work with the LSSJ Goku cause the pegs are different, but all 2.0 Goku heads will interchange on that body.
