Fact : almost all the normal type gym leaders are very tough.
It's just because they have no weaknesses except fighting. I would absolutely LOVE a normal type elite 4 member. High level normal types are no joke. And they have diverse movesets too. Would be terrifying.
But you can't use normal type pokemon on some gym, i mean for insistence against electric gym I'm gonna use ground and grass pokemon, against dragon gym - ice and fairy, but where am i should use normal type pokemon? They have the most neutral pokemon type, who's not effective against some type and not have types which gonna beat normal type with ineffective damage. There's a lot of pokemon like that. Except are a pokemon like Noktawl, who's with normal type has a lot of non-normal type moves, so in case Noktawl must be useful against ghost gym, but Pokémon like that as i said are small amount.
