- Being young had its own perks as most of us after growing up will admit. But there were a lot of things that we hated as kids, And some things that are universally true when you are a kid. Bedtime is bad, Coco Pops are good, and your siblings exist to annoy you. But now that we’ve grown up, nostalgia has kicked in and we miss them desperately. Here are some of the things we hated when we were a child.

Im definitely with the 53% one. One day my mom said we was leaving and then she got interested in something else, and we were there in the store for 30 mins more estimately. Terrible day it was.

With the group projects, I’m so glad that I had 2 really smart teachers. The first one, (I’m not sure if it’s who or whom, but I’m going with whom) whom knew how seriously I took the class and any assignments that I worked on, so that teacher simply let me do them by myself unless I had a partner that I was comfortable working with. The other one, whom graded those types of assignments based on individual contributions, rather than how the entire project itself turned out, meaning that the teacher assigned individual parts of a project to each student, and each student got graded based on how well they did their part, but still wanted assign projects as a whole (think of it like parts of the human body)!
Actually as a kid I hated getting a haircut bC that things had to be around my neck to prevent hair to get on me but I hated it bc of that cloak and also bc it was boring it’s like wasting an hour of ur life sitting on a chair being strangled by that cloak

I'm one of the 13 percent of kids who doesn't hate the dentist. My favorite part is when they use that metal stick to scrape your teeth! It's like a dental massage... =)

Ok I get that a lot of people are TERRIFIED of getting braces but here’s the thing… THEY DONT REALLY HURT I mean of course your teeth will be sore for a few days but after like 4-7 days have passed you won’t even know that they are there! And on the note that you think you might get embarrassed, people don’t really care. So that’s just a message for anyone who is worried about braces
I'm very shocked that blood tests or vaccines weren't on the list. I've always dreaded them as a kid. I'll never forget before getting a blood test screaming kids worried as I matured on a certain medication 9 years ago that required monthly blood work and screaming in examine rooms before they got a flu shot injected in their arm. A younger cousin of mine faints when it comes to needles for most of her childhood. I recently got one and almost passed out in an emergency section of a hospital at 24 years old. Always did hate them and always will.

Actually, people usually ignore this and still go out of their way to bully people with glasses or braces.
I use braces, they hurt for the first time but for a few weeks they’re all good, besides, I like wearing braces, not like I’m feared of my enemies bullying me for my braces

I went to the speech therapist before when icwas little because i am autistic. And guess what: i HATED it because they’re crucial. Like whenever i don’t follow they punish me very badly. Like going in the dark room, being rolled up like a burrito. But 3 years later or less, i stopped AND the speech therapy was out of buisness. Instant karma for them because of thier crucial behavior

I hated having to go to bed early as a kid. I would lie awake for ages unable to get to sleep. I think that I owe my adult sleep issues to my too early bedtimes in childhood. That thing about braces, I wish that I`d been given them rather than have to go through life with uneven teeth.

Hello. In 5th grade, this reflects that I got childhood PTSD. There once was a new kid named Jorge who was somehow unfriendly to me. On both parts where school & group projects are hated in childhood, the "Jorge thing" fits them, unfortunately. It started when he told me that "his name is NOT George." Then he scowled at me. Excluded me from being with friends. Humiliated me at recess. Fought for every little thing. And for a group project, he would never cooperate with me. In some cases, he would let me do all the work myself. He was against me somehow for an unclear reason. Jorge was a new kid from Hell and this nightmare haunts me somehow in my adulthood.
So does this mean 27% like school 21% like homework and 5% like getting punished that doesnt make any sense

8/8-Jorge's 1st day of school; 11/17-Jorge's Birthday; 4/20-when Jorge broke a leg
1st test: COVID-19 + 8/08/21
Jorge as a new kid at school was anxious & upset in class that he was crying half the time. It was NOT the same and he misses his old school, friends and family from his hometown in Ecuador. He couldn't concentrate. The teacher and the others had to console him and have to take multiple breaks. Every now and then the teacher, consoling Jorge would ask him like, "Jorge do you need to use the bathroom or have a walk outside class?" It wasn't always easy for him.
Symptoms Experienced: sore throat, congestion, 103.5F fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, weakness, excess fatigue, dizziness, chills and extreme drowsiness. One time I "hibernated" slept for 18 hours, dreaming of Jorge the new kid and went to a "Jorge coma" from my 1st experience of corona.
2nd test: COVID-19 + 11/17/21
On his 8th birthday, Jorge threw a massive tantrum at the arcade. This is the "game over went wrong" incident. There was a game that he always wanted to win, but unfortunately he never got the chance. He spent a significant amount of cash and tokens all on that one game, he was playing for a straight 2+ hours. His crying became a public distraction that it created a scene that him, his parents & older brothers had to leave.
Symptoms Experienced: similar as 1st test except: 101.2 F fever, less mild flu-like symptoms, no "Jorge Coma"
*most symptoms are less mild than the 1st.
3rd test: COVID-19 + 4/20/22
Jorge got injured at the playground and ended up in a wheelchair. An accident occurred that he ended up breaking a bone. He had to be taken to the ER. It was caused by a fall. This happened 5 weeks of being the new kid. Started when he accidentally tripped, losing his balance and fell from a height it was excruciating!
Symptoms Experienced: similar to the 1st & 2nd except for: 104 F fever, the "Jorge Coma" relapsed that I slept for 20 hours, and inflammation resulted recently. Also Joint pains & stiffness. *Symptoms change overtime. PS. I dreamed of Jorge the new kid, appearing in a wheelchair in class.
I was "not challenged enough" to be capable of working with kids due to social anxiety. It may have affected me. "Once upon a time, there was a new kid named Jorge from Ecuador....some people called him 'Jorgito'....and now I caught COVID-19 multiple times...IDK what will happen if I caught it for the 4th time and so on...."

I love going to school.
Fifth grade was my favorite… the teacher was amazing and when my best friend had to go get surgery and was out for two weeks my teacher checked on me every day… and when my best friend and I had a fight and I sat alone at lunch my teacher asked if I was alright… I miss her.
Also I hated physical education class. And I loved and still love the library. I read newspapers willingly (National Geographic is still my favorite, after all theses years…) and I love vegetables and still love vegetables.
And I loved going to bed early, mostly because it took (and sometimes still takes me) 2-3 hours to fall asleep unless I am really tired, so at school I often didn’t pay attention in class because I was too tired and ended up feeling really bad…

I always used to love water, it would take some effort to make me get out of the sea
I never acteally went to therapist as a kid because in my country visiting therapists is something that is still being related with being crazy
And about strange and spicy food - I am on Thailand right now with a group (we are all from Croatia) and there is one 3 years old boy who don't want to eat anything (a bit to much spicies for European mouth)
