His potential for world ending destruction is huge and he isnt even using Mods or Creative mode.

Nah, Steve can pull off the craziest shit on accident, hahaha, me and my friends have gotten some awesome "big brain" plays that we just do on the spot, no training or anything. He's heaps fun cause you can do this wild, explosive, creative stuff without much thought, where Pac-Man and Duck Hunt require you to think a lot more.
“So much Creativity” Steve is a horrible pick they said. Steve doesn’t belong in the game they said. That’s the difference between the Character and the Moveset. You may not like Minecraft, but you can’t deny a Minecraft character could lead to a lot of creativity in the moveset.
That's what I dislike about most of the Smash communities desired picks, like Sora. They mostly want characters who don't really bring interesting to the table with their movesets. I think the guys behind the DLC keep that in mind, which is greatly appreciated over listening to the whims of the mob.

I feel like anyone that mains Robin and Pacman will be a force to be reckoned with if they pick up Steve! Robin players are very good at managing their resources in their Tomes and Levin Swords, so managing Steve's Materials wouldn't be that much more difficult, and Pacman players are very creative with how their own moves interact with each other, similarly to Steve.

Steve has a lot more possibilities with the blocks and stuff. Pac-Man just has a decent amount of setups, but those are only the rare highlights of Pac-Man. Most of his gameplay is camping and zoning.
I want him to be the brawl meta night of ultimate. There is bound to be that one character who is above all others in smash. It should be him. His only limit is the player's creativity.

So if you didn't know, in the last clip, the reason the minecart sent dk almost into the blastzone is mostly because it bumped into the ledge and grabbed dk at the same time, which means when the minecart bumps mid-air, it loses all its momentum and changes directions too, which is deadly for characters with bad recovery

Not because I love minecraft. But the difference between Steve mains are their strategies and tactics. at 17:49 those aren't Iron Blocks in the clip, they are dirt blocks. On the Yoshi Story stage they are actually reskinned to be Wool Blocks, but functionally they are the same as dirt blocks. You can even see the resource bar is grey on the left side instead of brown, and Block Build always takes the lowest tier material first to not waste your iron.
That is an ass matchup. People were saying rushdown would be this guys weakness but then I see clips like that and I just .-. His Up B being fire based with a ton of startup is basically TNT bait. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Once he’s landed, he just uses his blocks to position himself to either craft or get more mats so that he can play the game again

The hardest thing though is that fast characters can’t counter him well; he has tons of options to knock people away with the launch power of Steve’s smashes/throws plus their insane frame data to knock a fast character away enough to mine and craft decent weapons; and at that point, fast characters are playing a losing game trying to outmaneuver Steve’s ledge guard options. It makes me think that the way to beat Steve is with a strong aerial character and big brains. Characters excellent in the air can maneuver around his traps and tag Steve while he is trying to ledge guard, pulling a literal Uno Reverse Card. Either than that, or a heavy hitter that only needs 1 or 2 strong hits to force Steve to use his recovery. He can’t stay in the air forever, even with his blocks, so not edge-guarding against him and luring him to center stage for a knock-down drag-out brawl forces Steve to constantly contend against a determined opponent. Once he’s out of resources and all his tools break, that’s it, their killing power is gone. So characters that can take a hit and dish it back out can wear down Steve mains as long as they are putting pressure on them. Just some musings; no idea if any of it will work.

at 17:49 those aren't Iron Blocks in the clip, they are dirt blocks. On the Yoshi Story stage they are actually reskinned to be Wool Blocks, but functionally they are the same as dirt blocks. You can even see the resource bar is grey on the left side instead of brown, and Block Build always takes the lowest tier material first to not waste your iron.
That Fox combo only works due to the specific traits of Fox. A light fastfaller with a linear recovery makes him especially susceptible to jab

His Up B being fire based with a ton of startup is basically TNT bait. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
@@QwixLF I still think rush down is a great counter. Pikachu in particular is a great counter. His t jolts can go around his blocks, and his falling speed and great recovery means he can escape stuff like this

@@RenShinomiya121 Armada kinda makes it obvious he doesn't like hbox, cuz when he watched the emplemon documentary of hbox he literally said when hbox said his father died "yeah I was 1 or 2 frames short from hitting that up smash" when mentioned the hate hbox gets compared to the little Armada gets, he downplayed and I think said something around the words of yeah but it's not that much more, DESPITE hbox getting a crab thrown at him, not being able to look at this watch onstage etc. Armada doesn't really care about hbox and is honestly egotistical

It's easy to do crazy Steve stuff like in this video, me and my friends already have with no training. It's heaps fun though.
But Steve's not "the best" or anything like that, he's very good and will only get better but he's got his losing matchups.
Yeah but there is one weakness. He cant stand pressure. If he breaks hes tools with a intense zero to death he is screw drivered becose he need to make new so he gotta take items but the characters as little mac wont let him be. *dream screaming leave me alone to hunters*
@@sharkaurel9012 there’s no way he breaks all of his tools. Even so, he can just airdodge or jump to escape a combo like every other character without a good escape option. Once he’s landed, he just uses his blocks to position himself to either craft or get more mats so that he can play the game again

@@SaltyDerps based on everything I've said + his insane frame data I'm worried about another smash 4 DLC type character. Where u can't actually play as ur main against them and u can only play as a counterpick. I don't want the meta to be Steve vs Steve tourneys.

The hardest thing though is that fast characters can’t counter him well; he has tons of options to knock people away with the launch power of Steve’s smashes/throws plus their insane frame data to knock a fast character away enough to mine and craft decent weapons; and at that point, fast characters are playing a losing game trying to outmaneuver Steve’s ledge guard options.
It makes me think that the way to beat Steve is with a strong aerial character and big brains. Characters excellent in the air can maneuver around his traps and tag Steve while he is trying to ledge guard, pulling a literal Uno Reverse Card. Either than that, or a heavy hitter that only needs 1 or 2 strong hits to force Steve to use his recovery. He can’t stay in the air forever, even with his blocks, so not edge-guarding against him and luring him to center stage for a knock-down drag-out brawl forces Steve to constantly contend against a determined opponent. Once he’s out of resources and all his tools break, that’s it, their killing power is gone. So characters that can take a hit and dish it back out can wear down Steve mains as long as they are putting pressure on them.
Just some musings; no idea if any of it will work.
