José Iturbi made three short films in the early 40's. Two of them, Albéniz/Chopin and Rameau/Liszt, were made for people who wanted to study his technique. A third one was made for the GI's in the American army and shows Iturbi playing a waltz from Chopin and a boogie woogie while he talks to a group of young ladies. The three movies are available on 16mm films.
I've watched several of his videos on RUclips and I am so impressed with Iturbi's articulation in runs and ornaments; so clean. A true poet of the keyboard. Gotta love him.

His technique resembles that of his teacher, Wanda Landowska. It almost looks like he is double-jointed, as she must have been, but I can see he is raising his palm to increase the striking depth of his fingers as they drop.
