    After all this time, I STILL come back to your recipe, again and again. I was born near Dearborn, Michigan, one of the best places to get delicious Lebanese food in the United States, and have since moved to another country where it’s harder to get, so making it at home with your recipe and some toum is best!! Thank you so much for this!

    Yet another lovely video, and I bet these rolls are yummy. Interesting variation too, as I grew up used to and eating the recipe that's similar to falafel, same condiments: tomatoes, parsley, radish and pickles on a pita bread, covered with lots of taratour, just substituting the falafel cakes for the chicken or beef. I wonder if you've tried that, which also tastes out of this world.

      +Abeer Syed Hello Abeer, thank you very much for trying this recipe and glad you like it and for the ginger actually it's not necessary to add it but if u wana add the ginger paste its ok but make sure to add little bit i mean less then half tsp because the taste of the ginger to strong so that's why i prefer bit of the powder but u can still use or without ginger u will still have same taste of shawarma at least u add in the main ingredients like lemon, garlic,vinegar,salt and pepper : )Thank you .

    A few people make the sauce without egg white; and what I believe the restaurants do not put egg white.
    What's your take on this? I tried without egg white and made a good one. You have to slowly add oil and lemon juice to emulsify the ingredients.

    Can you use garlic sauce instead of yogurt?

    • @SmileyGirl230
      @SmileyGirl230  9 лет назад

      +David Johnson No sorry u can't, we use garlic sauce in the sandwich after we cook the shawarma but if u don't like to add yogurt it's okay u can do this : )

    • @slimj2902
      @slimj2902 8 лет назад

      the yogurt at the start is good for marination as it makes chicken breast tender and juicy , yogurt is normally replaced with vinger and lemon

    It looks like u added more than 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of vinegar. This marinade looks so good. But I am not sure of measurements .

      @yrysf777 5 лет назад +1

      "garam masala" is not Arabic item, its indian and Pakistani item for which there is no Arabic term/word, so she has no choice but to call it by its original name.

    Sister, you have shown previously how to make shawarma powder, you have asked to put two table spoon of that for 1kg chicken.
    Here you are putting different spices. Why is that.

    In the beginning you said 1teaspoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of salt but when you made it you said 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of salt. I just made my marinade way too salty :-(

    • @SmileyGirl230
      @SmileyGirl230  8 лет назад

      I'm really sorry maybe i did a mistake in my ingredients but you need to add 1 tbs of olive oil and 1 tsp of salt always add salt to taste or as much as you like : )
