    I love how the White Sox won after 88 years with no drama; crushing everyone. It took the Red Sox and Cubs 86 years and 108 years perspectively, with a ton of drama and excuses. The White Sox just went out and conquered in '05, going 11-1 in the postseason; 110-64 overall. This Chicago White Sox team is definitely in the conversation of being one of the greatest teams of all time for me.

    • @timmysullivan2515
      @timmysullivan2515 4 года назад

      Drama and excuses? White Sox fans used the "Black Sox curse" as an excuse for decades. This team was an anomaly. Their rotation was historically great, yes. But Konerko and Dye were the only starters who even had an OPS+ over 100; so in other words, they only had two hitters in the lineup who were above average hitters. They dominated in the playoffs, that can't be disputed. But you can't stack up this team with all-time great teams, not to mention that this team never even won another playoff series.

    south side bias. 88 year championship draught broken here, longer than the red sox before them, and all we heard about is oh the Red Sox breaking the dreaded curse. Meanwhile it's yawn and crickets the next season. Because the red Sox are a media darling, and the white sox aren't. The Cubs get similar attention. Obsessions on curses. Yep, of all the mistakes upper management makes that prevent a team year after year from winning a tittle, yep, it's really one move that does it. Be it trading the Babe or (gasp) not letting a goat into the stadium. Makes sense. None of the other roster moves you make in 86 years really matter

    • @felixmendelssohn991
      @felixmendelssohn991 7 лет назад +3

      Red Sox are media darling because:
      _Red Sox - Yankees rivalry
      _Babe Ruth
      _Having more World Series titles, AL pennants, Division titles and Wild card berths than White Sox do
      _Many heartbreaking and memorable moments in MLB history
      White Sox are mostly remembered for their infamous Black Sox scandal, and it overshadows the 1906 Hitless Wonders.

      Zechariah Cameron - I never said I was rooting for them. I said I respect what they've done. The Cubs fans didn't have to like the White Sox victory of 2005, and Sox fans don't have to like what happened last night. But...like it or not...the Cubs are World Series Champions, and they deserve respect for that. Personal feelings don't and can't take away what happened on the field.

      Pray that the pitching ,which so far, has avoided serious injury can hold the team up. Right now they have a comfortable lead in the Central
