Halachic Challenges IDF Soldiers; State of Jewish Education in America - Rabbi Dr. Kenneth Brander
Rabbi Brander received his rabbinic ordination/semicha from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and holds a Ph.D. in general philosophy and comparative literature from Florida Atlantic University.
Currently Rabbi Dr. Kenneth Brander is President and Rosh HaYeshiva of the Ohr Torah Stone network of 32 educational institutions, leadership development initiatives, outreach endeavors, women’s empowerment programs, and social action projects.
Previously Rabbi Brander served as Vice President for University and Community Life, as well as the inaugural David Mitzner Dean of The Center for the Jewish Future (CJF) at Yeshiva University (YU),
Before that Rabbi Brander served as the senior rabbi of the Boca Raton Synagogue from 1991 to 2005 overseeing its explosive growth from 60 families to more than 600 families.

Given the continued unabated high rate of assimilation in America, does it even make sense to expend resources, funds in USA Jewish education?
Should the emphasis rather be on promoting Aliyah?
