The cows seem very protective and jealous over their bulls too. And it's wild how they love those rut pits. 😂 Go for it ladies, I will take a pass on rolling in a rut pit for any man lol
Great footage of natural behavior. It is interesting. Thanks for sharing for those of us thousands of miles away on the east coast.
I would love to see Alaska but idk at my age if it will happen, so watching your footage is the next best thing to being there. 😊

Thank you for the kind words. It is very interesting how aggressive the cows get around rut pits. They are as fascinated about them as I am.😊

I am cold just looking at you sitting there. ;) More questions. How have you recognized that bull from year to year? The area he is in? Markings on him? A question about moose shedding their antlers I saw the picture of your wife holding that beautiful set of antlers. Then when you had them 'mounted' the taxidermist put the 'cap' between the two antlers to make it more stunning? Thank you.

This bull is recognizable both by his antler size and configuration, and I filmed him in the same area last year. The set of antlers my wife was holding were connected to the skull. This bull had been harvested by someone else and they had it cleaned so that it could be displayed this way, it’s called a European mount.
