So happy to have stumbled on your channel on a gloomy day - despairing the world is a horrible place. In the US, a group of young people, your age - greedy, unethical and lacking in any connection to the real world - charged with stealing $9-billion dollars, with one convicted. To see you and your partner working so hard - good, honest work - lightens my heart. I think the world will be okay if there are more of you around. Thanks for lightening the heart of this old lady!
Found you on Christmas Day. This is better than any Disney movie. Well done. Your hard work is paying off and you’ll have a wonderful home to cherish one day. Congratulations and hopefully you’ll inspire others to do this.
So satisfying to watch this young couple hard at work making their lives. I watched Frankie and some of the cats just lazing around, thinking they are just enjoying watching this happen without having to lift a finger and then I realized that’s what I’m doing. Very satisfying to watch.
Sending much love from South Africa🇿🇦 hubby and I have been DIY our homes our whole married life, a home in Namibia, Germany and now South Africa. We are in our 50s now, so this is our last reno... or so we say😅 We have 4 dogs & 2 horses ❤
I don’t know how I happened upon your channel, but I’m glad I did. At the end of this episode I’m sitting here bawling my eyes out coz you guys are just too sweet. All of you, with the cats and dogs and everything in it.
As the English winter withdraws in the last week of February 2024, I enjoyed my virtual holiday in Portugal. Suitably rested, I was inspired to finish some decluttering projects as a means of creating my 'perfect' home. Thanks 🎉
So much love in your videos. I can feel it when I see your kitties and doggies play, groom and sleep together and when you two tackle projects, cook, drink and work together. ❤❤❤ It’s really lovely.
It’s so great to see you guys coming up with ways to pay for what you need and not just asking your parents for money everytime something unexpected comes up. You guys are doing great!!!
It’s a bit of a reminder that money does usually equal time.. being able to spend our time helping others and in turn getting help from others is a nice way of working.
What a generous friend and neighbor Nick is🤗!! How fortunate you are! And Diogo is a perfect family addition, love seeing the affection between your kitty and him!
Thank you for loving this precious Puppy he is gorgeous he will give back more than you will never no your other animals are so lucky to a beautifull mum and dad
What a lot of work you put in to edit these two episodes. Well done and good on you. It is hard work but so rewarding when you achieve a finished project My late husband worked his backside off so I relate to all you do. We were in France as have mentioned before but a lot older than you I’m sorry to say but it is as it is and no regrets only that word hindsight creeps in quite a lot😮😬 You both look incredibly healthy and your family of animals so happy and content. I really love the way you weave them in and out with your camera. You have no idea of the joy you bring an elderly lady sitting in front of the tv screen every time your video appears. Thank you and keep safe and let no man put you asunder. You are indeed also blessed with having such great friends. Love Libby (Aus)
Thoroughrily enjoyed both Part 1 & 2, nice progression of achievements shown by skilled editing. Diego's bouncy appearance warms the heart, as do all the fur babies. Well done for creating a lovely environment.
I HAVE MY COFFEE.... TIME TO WAKE UP TO A RELAXXIN VIDEO FROM PORTUGAL... LETS GO!😃😋SU MUCH LEARNED, AND SUCCESS. ITS BEEN A GREAT FUN TO SEE YOU BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT. SO MUCH RESOLVED, AND THE KINDNESS OF YOUR SUBSCRIBERS GIFTS.... SO AWESOME. I PRAY FOR YA ALL, GOD BLESS FROM CRATERS OF THE MOON IDAHO. WE ARE AT 70 TO 80 NOW , AND COOLIN OFF FAST AT 43OO ELEVATION. IM READY, BUT NO SNOW YET PLEASE..LOLOL. OUR WINTERS ARE LONG AND COLD. LAST YEAR WE HAD -10 F..... BRRRRRRR. GOD BLESS 🙏🙏
I love the nesting doggies and kitties, they really seem to love each other while they feel safe in your care, so beautiful to see. Your video compilation is so peaceful and wonderful to see, I do feel a bit guilty though feeling relaxed while you toil away. I do appreciate the work ethic and willingness to continue while you are learning so many new trades, thank goodness for Nick and others who have taught both of you so many new things to get yourselves a functioning kitchen. I know I’m trying to get caught up on your progress, and in a very short time your videos are at the top of my list of favorites to view. Can’t wait to see the next ones. Cheering you on from Phoenix, Arizona.
Christine here, thank you for the 2 part recap. Although I have watched your videos from the beginning, it was wonderful to see the progress the two of you have made. Wishing you the very best for your future projects! Hugs from South Africa xx
lovely finish to 2022, more lovely additions to the family, and finishing needed projects and so many wonders from your garden, it really does make it worth while. i cant believe how far we are into 2023 you will soon have to follow up on a part 3. congratulations again on your success its been a real pleasure, thank you
I’ve been along on your journey since almost the beginning but it was a pleasure to look back over your progress and see the skills you’ve learned along the way with help from Nick. Congratulations!
I did not realise that Diogo was abandoned!! So sad!! But he's definitely got a happy ending now!! P.S...love the Australian design 😛!! Love from Australia!! Cheers!!
You’re dogs & kitties are completely family ❤The company you gave you the bikes & scooter are extremely kind regardless of them getting advertising! Central Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
I absolutely loved part two the journey you have come on exciting and the road ahead loved seeing the it all again you guys are fabulous love the dogs cats chickens Nick and Andrea are so helpful people bless you all greetings from Australia Frankie rocks
Hmmm tiling, I gave up doing this myself 20 years ago after watching a group of cheerful old Italian tilers up in Cape York tiling without measuring anything at a ridiculous speed. Keep up the great work it has been great watching the time-lapse.
Diogo is a beautiful little pupper! He is a perfect fit to your family. I have really enjoyed watching as renovate your home. You have done an amazing job!
These time lapse videos were quite wonderful (as are all your videos!) and it’s lovely to see how much you’ve done and how far you’ve come. Congratulations on all your hard work and your many, many accomplishments. Thank you for taking us along on this journey with you! ❤
It's been a pleasure to watch your progress. Our weather is simultaneously similar all the way over here in CA, and I often pause your videos to get a little work done in the yard. You've been unexpectedly motivational. Love your background music too, I don't have to rush to turn it down like most youtube channels.
Nice reminder of just how much you guys have achieved. Great watching it again, gives a better idea of the journey already travelled. Going to be astonishing to watch it in a few years time.❤
❤What a lovely hard working couple and their animals are soooo cute n lovely. Well done to all of you and your friends and family. You have done an amazing job.❤
So precious how Albi inserts herself into every project to help and supervise 😁. She truly is invaluable!! All the little kids add their own special bits to the quality of the channel. Hugs to them all 🤗. Take care and have a great week. 🥰🌿♥️
You need a crab apple so you can make jam and jellies without pectin, it also is a great pollinator! It's looking like a farm now and your gardens are doing so well. Congrats and blessings!!!
Great work guys. I have been researching log splitting axes/mauls and discovered that the ideal log splitting mail is about 6kb/3kg with a good long handle and does not need to be sharpened . Apparently the splitting happens as a result of the speed of the blade head striking the wood and the lighter head means more speed!
Just found your Journey and seen the two episodes. What an amazing achievement to have turned the abandoned place into a working project that now keeps you warm, dry, cool as well as providing food. I can guess the delicious taste of the watermelon and the large sweet potatoes. Fantastic to have helpful family and Nick to provide skills, encouragement and friendship. Looking forward to seeing how 2023 is panning out for you two courageous people, and to your expanding family of animals who sense your gentleness and kindness.
Loved watching part two of your video. Diago is such a gentle wee pup with the cats and Frankie. You have such an ideal life, love all that you have achieved Best wishes from Ruth in New Zealand…….
I love watching your video's have me the incentive to get back into the garden ,nice to hear you call Nick uncle it's a very Welsh thing to do my husband called nearly all our older neighbours about or uncle greetings from South Wales
It's so lovely watching all this again. Just look for far you've come. Glad it's getting cooler for you all now. Our weather here in Devon is stunning right now, at last lol. Take care xxx
Hi, Carissa and Iwan. I loved watching Part 2. It was good to see Diogo and the 2 cats added to your fur family. (I don’t remember their names.) So many changes in part 2! Thank you… it was so enjoyable to watch❤️❤️
I really enjoyed both of these parts, so many things I'd forgotten you did, you did so much!! Must have been a trip down memory lane putting all of this together and hopefully reminded you how much you have achieved!
Great to see how far you’ve come. Loved seeing your full update part 1 & 2 you are both growing in skill sets and adapting to your surroundings. Great work keep it up ❤❤❤
How could you possibly know that? 😅 You don’t know where we live let alone the history of the building 🤣 I think your courage induces more admiration.. to suggest we’re living illegally when you’ve not the foggiest idea.. tip for you.. just because you think something.. it doesn’t make it correct 😉 the building used to be a 2 storey family home used by a family of Millers 70 years ago. You’re very welcome 👍🤣
That was a labour of love - I hate to think how long it took you to put part one and two together but you did a great job (I was itching to see Diogo’s story again) lovely how all of your pets get along so well ❤️🌟
Fabulous story, and well told, a lovely mixture of progress and family life. If I was your age I would definitely embark on such a rewarding project. You will never regret doing this. I'm about to retire and sell up to change countries and move to the Outer Hebrides so your adventure is spurring me on. I work with wood so I hope you don't mind me throwing my thoughts your way. Glad to see you now own a splitter axe ...so much easier, also split wood on a hard surface like concrete with a large wood block on it which you can then place your logs on for splitting. Split your wood while its green, preferably as soon as you fell it. Once it starts to dry out the wood fibres are resistant to splitting. Finally, if you are splitting a large diameter log then split it parallel to the rings and not from the centre to the outside edge. Hope there is something there you can use. Great channel...thank you.
Thank goodness you had the animals to supervise, and how lucky you found two more ! I don't know how you would have got it all done without them! Your friend, Nick, is a rock star and you guys are awesome. Love your channel, (and that tile cutter), I subscribed.
Just watched first part and second this video, it's amazing, I love everything about your adventures, and the animals :) keep up the good work. Blessings.
I think it’s wonderful how many kind people are sending practical gifts to this lovely couple❤This amount of love restores my faith in human nature❤
I don't even know nick but am so grateful to him that he helped u both so much😭♥

and then I stumbled on a rainy rainy day of my own….😊
I love it how all the pets are part of the family and so well cared for 😊
The sense of community where everyone chips in and makes everyones life better - just warms my heart
As much as I love Frankie, Diogo adds so much 'funny' to it all. Must be the most inquisitive dog I've ever seen.❤
The doggie version of Albi cat❤
Couldn't agree more ❤
Um, he’s cut but Frankie … those little short legs tickle me as he runs around.
That Diogo is a very loving dog.
So satisfying to watch this young couple hard at work making their lives. I watched Frankie and some of the cats just lazing around, thinking they are just enjoying watching this happen without having to lift a finger and then I realized that’s what I’m doing. Very satisfying to watch.

I admire your courage !
Side note: this building was never a house but a shed or barn.
How could you possibly know that? 😅 You don’t know where we live let alone the history of the building 🤣
