Brinkley is setting the new standard for the RV industry. I have become a Brinkley evangelist and have no problem promoting their brand every time I hear a RV horror story like yours. I hope to be able to purchase one later this year God willing. To me Brinkley personifies made in America.
You’re spot on with that comment ! I’ve said the same thing to some of these full time RUclips/influencers whom are bragging the Brinkley. Well I’ve said to them look at grand design and alliance with all the frame issues, water leaks and slide out issues and the crappy support. My point to them is in time Brinkley will be no better. Sounds pessimistic buts happened time and again.@@TonyBenton0728
They will not be bought out. I asked this question to all the owners this past week and they all said no. They plan to keep this company private and not even entertain a buyout. I believe them, they want to build a strong company with the highest quality products and most importantly a company that puts the customer and their employees first.
Well, I feel this group of owners have already set a new path and don't believe they will fall into the same trapings the other have. Yes, time will tell, but I have a good feeling this is the beginning of new RV company model.
So here we are 6 months later from this video. With that said, when is Brinkley going to stop using lag screws and start using carriage bolts like Riverstone to secure their walls to the upper deck mainframe? I did send Nate a message, which he responded to and suggested that use carriage bolts instead of doing the same thing Grand Design is doing. I wonder how long that will take, if they do it at all. Maybe they can cut into a tiny bit of their profit to build a better RV instead of doing the same thing that everyone else does in Indiana. I was glad to hear from Nate that they do offer the MORryde independent suspension/disc brakes. As we all know right now, so many consumers do not trust anything coming out of Indiana and especially with concerns about the workforce (some being questionable) going from one assembly company to the next. Also, given that Nate was the architect and product manager for the Solitude and Reflection models when he was at Grand Design and there are a ton of problems with those model years, when he was still there, it does make me leary of what to expect from Brinkley. Who knows, maybe Don Clark over road their recommendations and they wanted to jump ship. I do know that 2 main RV designers/architects, the CFO, COO, Head of HR, Account manager, Quality Manager and several others left Grand Design for Brinkley. -Pete West (@GrandDesignRVMajorIssues, Facebook)
EXCELLENT VIDEO! We have watched since your mishap with your first toy hauler. I have one request, please do something with the volume of your videos. I have to turn the tv volume up as high as it will go and sometimes still cannot hear you.
Yes, I'm trying to figure this out. Others have no problem while a few hae issues. Are you always watching from your TV? if yes, what are you streaming through?
Great video Geoff! It’s awesome that Nate took the time to help make it happen. Love what Brinkley is doing. Do you happen to know if they will be offering a full body paint option in the future?
I agree with your statement that walking inside a Brinkley and seeing the difference firsthand is the best way to decide. I personally stepped into the G3500, and within minutes, I knew that I had found my new home. I told my salesman not to bother showing me anything else as there's no need. Placed my order, then took the factory tour, which was great on many levels. Now waiting to take delivery end of January. #0482 G3500.
Now we are hearing from an rv manufscture talking smart about how they manufacture! When a manufacture and vendor work together the rv mfg is in charge of what they want built! Any failures in anything in any rv should be honored by the rv mfg and they go back to their vendor to iron out any issues! Rv manufacturers as a whole have not done this! Warranty claims should drive engineering in design issues and failure of bought components like water heaters, microwaves, stoves, furniture etc should also be guided by warranty claims. That is the only way to improve a product. and it drives vendors to improve their products! Anything manufactured thing that moves around like an rv will have issues but Warranty Claims and customer imput will actually lead to success if the manufacture reads and listens!! Brinkley is on the right track!! Kudos!!!
There's gotta be a way for y'all to get into a Brinkley. You're such a great spokesperson for them and it shows how much you believe in their product and processes.

Geoff I’m overjoyed you got a Brinkley. They, just like Apple, are top notch in customer service. iPhone haters about but my primary requirement for a product is a domestic customer service base staffed by English speaking Americans not overseas call centers that suck money from our economy. I probably wouldn’t be ranting about this but we just moved house, and I spent about an hour on the phone trying to get support from att internet. Good info. We’re waiting to hear if our frame can be repaired or not. If not, we may see a Brinkley in our future because we are those consumers he was talking about that keep their rig for 10 plus years!
Great video Geoff, hopefully you got out of that other brand you had so much trouble with and got into a Brinkley . Oh and I'm an Android user....lol, but I get it.
@@MyBucketListDay there's a third party place in Elkhart that can fix your rig, do it right and you'll never mess with it again. I cannot remember their name at the moment and I remember commenting to someone their name. I'll see if I can find them and share.
All good things to hear, however, with such a short manufacturing history time will tell. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Brinkley is already dealing with a recall of the very model you were talking about in this video. Apparently undersized wiring was used during installation of the power control unit.
The model we were in was the G3950, none has shipped yet, this was a prototype RV right now. Expected delivery is late spring 2024. So no recalls on this one.
An undersized wire may overheat, increasing the fire risk. Brinkley RV is recalling certain 2024 Brinkley RV Model G fifth wheel toy haulers. Oct 9, 2023 Government Releases Weekly Recall List - RV News
Several things they should be looking at to really differentiate from most out there. Get rid of the crappy, loud, inefficient AC units and install residential Mini-Splits (heat pumps) like New Horizon and Spacecraft do... bonus is 3 less holes in the roof and more room for large solar systems. Use a drop frame up front to gain a ton of storage. Offer units will 10guage or higher solar wires (2 complete sets minimum) from the roof down, but do not install any solar equipment. (The stuff they offer is low end, custom users are all going Victron or Magnum) Offer Independent suspension. Full Body Paint...these are all just Gel Coat and stickers (in 5 yrs they will have faded and cracked stickers and the gel coat will be powdery)! Gen-Y on other models (non Toy Hauler). Better slide mechanisms...use hydraulic or high end electric slides everywhere.
@@MyBucketListDayNew Horizons, and Spacecraft. LUXE offer most bit not Mini-split. DRV if through Alisha at Rolling Retreats qill do quite a few...less Mini-split unfortunately. We boondock around 80% of the time and so the Mini-split is important for us...I installed my own and it is a game changer.
I totally agree the mini split is the way to go, but sometimes not practical on some models without major modifications. I also agree a mini split designed in the manufacturing would be a great benifit like spacecraft does. I'm going to ask the powers to be at Brinkley if this has ever been considered.@@dankarau2307
Their walls are thicker than almost all other rigs with R11 insulation. I dont know of any mass production coach having wrapped water lines. Their baggage doors are also thicker
Redwoods have 2.5 walls. Riverstone have 3.0 walls, luxe have 3.0 walls, new horizon has 3.5 walls. Wrapping the water lines would help with the water not freezing in low temps.
