    Thanks for a great video. At 50k the OEM slave cylinder failed. I upgraded to The Z1 Performance Street Clutch Kit with Z1 Motorsports Nodular Iron Flywheel, OEM HR/VHR Clutch Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) Tube, JWT 350Z / G35 VQ35HR Heavy Duty HD CSC Slave Cylinder, OEM 350Z Clutch Master Cylinder, Genuine Nissan DOT 4 Brake Fluid. Flushed system prior to installation and after installation. After installation drove approximately 300 miles the JWT slave cylinder failed. JWT honored warranty sent out a replacement unit. Installing replacement. Check out Z1 performance reviews on the JWT slave cylinder.

    Great vid. Not too long ago I installed all these parts on my HR, and am so happy with them. I went with the Wilwood master cylinder though. Every Z enthusiast I reached out to unanimously recommended the JWT clutch kit.

    How’s the JWT CSC holding up? I’m about 350 miles into mine.

    My question is do you have to use a non dual mass flywheel or can you use the factory dual mass with the JWT HD CSC? I'm about to the point of having to do something with my OEM CSC and I was thinking about going with Z1's HD CSC or JWT but I am at research point of what clutch kit to use because I don't want clutch chatter to be honest. And I know a lot of these say that you can't use the OEM dual mass flywheel I think, hell I can't remember because I've looked at so many things about this lol. Honestly I'm not worried about any racing set up or track at the moment because I'm still running close to factory HP and Torque and I figured when I finally go boosted I will worry about get the proper clutch kit for the extra power. And honestly I don't plan on doing any track racing either because this is my daily. But I'm thinking about getting another Z just for racing, track days etc etc that I'm not worried about breaking or wrecking it a little.

      I have actually installed this on 3 other Z’s that all still have their factory clutch and flywheel with no issues.. Make sure to replace the master with a new oem one and flush the line out as well

      @@superfreestyle7943 thanks for the information. And yeah I'm definitely going to get a new master cylinder and I'll make sure to flush the system before having it installed. From all the research that I've done those two things were the two main things that everyone mentioned and even Z1 mentioned it. So pretty much I can use all OEM stuff except for that piece of crap OEM CSC? When I was thinking about going the CSC delete Z1 and I think it's the CMAK kit also kept saying that you can't use this flywheel with this or can't use this with that and etc,etc. So I figure if I can get around all the BS by going with the JWT HD or Z1 HD CSC it would save me a lot of hassle. Have you used the Z1 HD CSC before or do you know of anyone who has used the Z1 CSC? I know JWT products are awesome and Z1s products have been great so far also. Thanks again for any information and help. Now on to those dumb AF valve covers that are not serviceable. Any ideas that work for the valve covers? My gaskets is trying to leak on my passenger side valve cover but my tube seals are not leaking and I imagine it isn't a good idea to pull off my passenger side valve cover just to replace the gasket.. since idk if these valve covers are the originals from factory because if so I have 178K miles on them and it would only be a wise choice to go ahead and replace them. And since Z1 has valve covers that's a lot cheaper than the stealerships lol.

      @@tonynguyen5327 did the chatter change by any chance ? I’ve got the 14lbs flywheel and it’s pretty loud

    • @gnawfam
      @gnawfam 2 года назад

      Pretty much any lightweight flywheel will chatter. Jwt makes an iron flywheel closer to the stock weight that doesn’t chatter but isn’t dual mass fail prone like the OEM unit
