I totally get your anger about the relationship.. I was so mad! Also keeping the secret from Clara was crazy and I was a bit annoyed about that, but overthinking these scenes it just showed how strong Morgan is and how much she loves Clara! :) Additionally, I also loved the boys/men in this story - so much!

I read it and now I need to talk about it!!!
    Spoilers ahead!!!!
Sooo I was so annoyed at the whole affair thing... I wish we got to know what was in the letters... I know the ending was Morgan moving on from that but I'm still super curious if Jenny and Chris even loved each other. I mean, it'd suck for Morgan to find that out, but it'd kill my curiosity. I was also so annoyed that Chris and Jenny were talking about it in front of EVERYONE. In front of Clara!!! I feel like they didn't truly love Clara or Morgan or else they wouldn't have done any of the things they did.

YES OMG when they said “are you excited about tomorrow” I was PISSED. Tbh I didn’t care to read what was in the letters because I was just so over Jenny & Chris 😂 But I can understand wanting to know!

Honestly this book had such potential, but it missed over and over, Clara was annoying and irritating. Morgan tried so hard and gave so much. I needed those letters, i waited for it, to never know what was in it. I thought that she wud find out through the letters. Then it wasn't that. Then it was such a dumb way for her to find out. It ended too anticlimactic for me. The conflict resolution wasn't enough for me. I regretted reading regretting you, ironic right.

I totally swooned too over the promposal omg. And about the affair I 1000% agree, I was LIVID over it. I guess the only thing that somewhat eased my anger about it was the way that Morgan chose to explain to Clara the way she felt about Jonah. Not that it justified the affair in any way, but she does talk about thinking what if he had stayed and could that have been them...etc. etc. and I guess that might have put it into perspective a bit for Morgan which (because we were in her head) sort of put it in perspective for me. It's not okay in any way, shape, or form, and they totally went about it in the most unacceptable way, but I guess going through the motions of Morgan's feelings towards Jonah kind of helped me imagine a possibility of the way the emotions behind Chris and Jenny's relationship formed. AAHHH THIS BOOK WAS SO EMOTIONAL.

Morgan was such an amazing mother 😭 She martyred herself but her love for Clara was incredible. And yes I kind of love that coho made us think about that possibility. I’m still pissed at Chris & Jenny though 😂😂

OMG, I LOATHED Clara and I felt so freaking bad for Morgan. She was so quick to take her anger and frustration out on her mother. Ironic because the one person Clara thought she hated the most is the one person who always had her best intentions in heart and was protecting her from the horrid truth; that her father and aunt were horrible and disgusting people. Especially her aunt. She made sly comments for years about "knowing Chris better" and "not being able to wait to spread her filthy legs for her sister's husband". I hated Clara so much that I honestly wanted her to hurt more when she found out that the two people she idolized her entire life were actually the antagonists and not her mother. But, since Morgan's such an amazing woman and mom, she told Clara everything and still managed to keep most of her ex-husband and sister's image non-tainted in Clara's eyes. There were sooo many times where I wanted Morgan to just slap the nonsense out of Clara but she didn't and it made me so mad. I mean, I despised Clara so much that when every time Colleen switched the pov to Clara, I audibly sighed and rolled my eyes. (Only OG Collen Hoover fans will peep this) But I literally shrieked with delight when Colleen threw the "Maybe Someday' reference in when Miller said that his favorite band was 'Sounds of Cedar.' I had mixed feelings about the chapter when Morgan rips the letters that sluty Jhenny wrote to Chris. A part of me wanted to know what Jhenny was saying so I can have more reasons to loathe her. But a bigger part of me felt very proud of Morgan for always taking her own advice: 'sometimes you have to walk away to win' (or something like that. Lol) She found closure in herself enough to move on and leave the horrific past in the past, right were the two sluts are buried. (hey, Morgan may have forgiven them but I certainly did not.)
