@@AdamHeist I screwed something up in creating my Google ad and now they have deactivated my account and won't reinstate it. I appealed their decision and they still won't change their decision. Wow! What an awesome video. Thanks so much Adam, the information you keep sharing is brilliant and incredibly generous and helpful. You're an absolute LEGEND!!
Hello Adam, Great video! Very informative. I have a quick question for you. How do you optimize the keywords in the google ads if you don't know which keyword is bringing in the sales through the Amazon Attribution link? For example, let's say your profit for the product is $6 and one of the keywords in the google ads is spending $10. How do you know to close this keyword or let it run if you don't know if this keyword is bringing in any sales?
Incredible! I literally got a Click within minutes of launches the Ad!! Thank you Adam you made it so easy to understand and follow. Just one question. You didnt mention anything about the "audience" section. Is it not important for google ads? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing the great content Adam. I have a question. When creating the 4 x add extensions for the Google ppc ad, do you recommend using the same or multiple super URL links? I’ve been running different super URL KW links for each extension and I’ve seen no impact to my chosen KW’s in the last couple of days on H10. I’m getting a good amount of clicks for the campaign though and a good CTR 😕
Hey Adam. I'm setting this up now for my launch listing and in the middle of using the Google Keyword tool. Should I use the branded search terms they suggest? I am think not, as the searcher would seem to have really high intent for purchasing that specific brand name. But not sure for this purpose of simply driving traffic to my listing. Your thoughts?
@@AdamHeist Hey thanks for the reply, I read this do you think its true? its talking about facebook ads but the same would apply to google ads, what are your toughts? Awesome video!! Thanks Adam. I'm will be trying this to get rid of inventory on a failed product launch. Have you ever used this strategy for that purpose? If so, what were your results. Thanks again ny man!! You rock!!
Not in my experience! In fact, I would not recommend pixelfy or landing pages with this strategy. I think the Google traffic tag, regardless of conversion, gets solid credit from Amazon.
Helpful videos. How did you set the conversion under Google - Setting - Conversion? Not sure how do google ads and amazon track and record if a click from Google Search brings a sale on our Amazon brand page or a listing?
Sorry it's been a long while since i've used the conversion setting so I don't recall. It's actually not a critical piece. We're also using ampd.io to set up Gads now and i'll do a video on it soon.
Hey Adams, Quick question. I have heared from few experts that we should use store link instead of listing as we get cold traffic from google ads. What do you recommend? Thank You
Hi Adam, I have been running google ads to my products for some time with mixed results. I have been running them to two step URL’s. After listening to you on the Norm Podcast I started to rethink my strategy for a landing page and changing it to just my product page. Have you ever used an Amazon attribution link as your landing page? If so, what are your thoughts on it? I would like to have some measure of ad spend to sales. Thanks, Anthony
Adam, do you use Amazon Attribution to track external traffic conversions? I had it setup, and it's tracking clicks, but so far 350 clicks, and no product sales, I am thinking maybe the sales data is delayed? My overall sales jumped significantly.
I do but it's clunky and not entirely accurate. I'm part of a new beta and they are definitely focusing on improving it - but at this time, that is one of the main drawbacks with external traffic/ads.
Hay Adam. Is there a way to check which link they are actually going through to? I have set up a google ad with the extra tabs as suggested in the video. One is to my store front page which has 3 variations of this product and the other links are the individual product pages. Is there a way to know where those clicks are going? (What link they are clicking on to ?) Thanks so much
Great question! My honest answer is that i'm actually not sure. I check clicks at the ad group level but don't check the specific link clicks within an ad. I'll review and report back:)
Amazing video!!! Hey curious- for your optimization (decrease bids by 15% automation etc), do you wait a certain amount of time after launching to optimize this or immediately do this from the day you launch?
Hi Adam. In deciding to use a direct URL to Amazon listing or ranking URL to Amazon listing; does Amazon recognize this traffic is brought by external traffic either way? In other words, if I use a ranking URL; will Amazon still know this traffic came from Google Ads? As I want to be sure I am awarded by Amazon for bringing external traffic.
Great video Adam, I have an upcoming lunch and this is gold defiantly doing google and pinterest ads 👍 How much do you allocate for the ads ? I was thinking 10% google ads 10% pinterest 80% ppc
Depends on the product category & customer demographic. For example, in my Home Goods brand it's usually heavily weighted to pinterest. Tech/electronics leans Reddit. Outdoor/sports lean Google & RUclips.
Wouldn’t you think it may be better to drive traffic from Google onto a landing page for your product then ultimately the amazon listing, because 1. The traffic that ends up on your amazon listing will be warmer traffic and 2. It won’t effect your conversation rate on amazon as much? Interested to know your thoughts thanks
Wow really great content Adam! I really appreciate all the hard work you do, to create these videos. My question is, When do you utilize Broad Match KW Campaigns? Just on the biggest main keyword roots?
I’m running ads for amazon but having issues with tracking, would you still recommend the beta or is there another option to track conversions/sales. Thanks
Hey Adam! Have you run into any Trademark issues using “Amazon” and or “prime” in your 2-Day shipping ad extension. Mine said approved but “limited because of trademarks in ad text”.
Hey Adam another question- how long do you typically have these run for? Until ranking/sales are where you want or what kind of metric/time do you look at? I appreciate you!
Great content as usual Adam, thank you! I have an Amazon listing with several color variations. I have a lot of inventory of one color that's not selling much so I created an Amazon coupon to try and move inventory. Would you recommend running Google ads for the slow mover, or does the ad automatically apply to all variations in a listing? Also what do you think is the lowest discount that would still be effective? Thanks for your help.
No, you can direct your google ad to a specific variation (just use a direct link). I think at least 20% would make it compelling (just personal gut feel).
If using an Amazon attribution link, is there a way to edit maybe the end of the link so I can use it in the extensions? Or should I generate 5 total (1 for main ad, 4 for extensions)?
Hello, Great Video. Are you familiar with amazon attribution? If so, Can I use two-step URLs through amazon attribution? I set it up but am not getting any results on the dashboard. Thanks, Anthony
Thanks for the quick reply. Definitely plan on deep diving into Reddit Ads as well. My product niche straddles “adult” so I have to tread lightly. So Reddit might really work for me. I have been using attribution since late May. I don’t love it. I feel Like the reporting is terrible. If it was more like the ppc interface it would be much better. Do you agree? Maybe you should do an attribution tutorial. I think there’s a lot of people that would like the information. Thanks again.
Hi Adam, If I am getting an almost 20% Click Through Rate on my Google ads what percentage should I expect on the conversion end? Do you have a conversion percentage that you shoot for on the sales side? Thanks,
Hello. Thanks for the video. Could you please tell me, how do I use deepl inks in my Google Ads to Amazon campaigns in order to increase my conversion rate??
@@AdamHeist Why? If we talk about mobile traffic, any traditional URL will merely open up a browser. But the deep linking feature sends mobile users directly to a specific point in the Amazon app.
@Adam Heist - I'm having trouble adding the final url link created from Helium 10 Gem tool. I'm using the Canonical URL and when I add it to the sitelink extension section it says "Invalid URL". I double checked the url created from Helium 10 and they link to my Amazon page just fine. Is there a step I'm missing?
@@AdamHeist no worries! Figured it out. In your video it shows you putting multiple keywords in each field instead of one keyword per field. Excited to see how the site links work!
Hi Adam, I keep seeing videos like yours on RUclips about how to create Google Ads for Amazon listings, but I've also been reading online everywhere (including Google Support) that you cannot direct traffic to Amazon listings. Apparently, Google has policies surrounding this, and if caught, campaigns will get suspended when in violation. I am so confused. I want to be able to link directly to my Amazon product as you've described in this video, but I keep getting contradictory information telling me this is not actually allowed and I will risk getting suspended. Do you have any insight into this? TIA.
Good question Tia, wondering if you found anything further out. i set up a campaign similar to Adams then got suspended. My account violated the Circumventing systems policy. impossible to get an answer of out google as to the exact reason. i dont know what exactly triggered it.
I'm going to be doing this soon using your video as the guide. Already did a 'test run'. Did you use a tool to prevent a bit clicking your ads; if so can you please recommend which one to use (ideally free)? Thanks so much for all the amazing content.
Great video. If for example, I run Google ads for 'Amazon speaker stand' instead of 'speaker stand', do you think that would be appreciated by Amazon's algorithm in the same way? Looking in Adwords for my imminent product launch this seems to be a good option considering estimated CPC and I'm guessing likely conversion. (speakers stand isn't my product).
Hello there Adam! Thank you very much for your amazing content... So admirable! I have a doubt, the text in the ads is the same for each Ad Groups (Match types)? Thanks!
Wow..🙂 extremely well explained .. thanks for your effort 👍🏻 I have a question 🙋♂️ can I use affiliate link on my own product and promote the product through Google ads 🤔?
We do this but the conversion is nvr that great from google, so was hoping it doesn't affect organic by taking down the avg conversion in total. Any insight on this? Thx!
Is this video still relevant with Amazon Attribution tags available now? Do we still need to send customers from google to a landing page first, and then to our amazon store/listing? Thanks!
Damn man you can read my mind lol. I was searching on youtube how to do google ads just few days back. Took me half an hour to figure out how to switch to pro mode
Adam, great information. Question: do you use Google ads only for launches or do you also use them for ongoing brands that are already established and well ranked?
Hey Adam, quick question. If I use a landing page, will Amazon treat that with the same external traffic ranking juice compared to if I went straight from Google to Amazon? Or would Amazon recognize it as coming from pixelfy rather than Google and treat it differently? I figured a landing page would be a great way to avoid a larger CVR drop while reaping the benefits of external traffic, but if it affects the external traffic ranking boost, then there's no point imo.
Tyson Barrett I haven’t seen the behind the curtain data on that but I don’t believe it will. I suspect it would need to go from google to amazon for the tag.

How much do you allocate for the ads ? I was thinking 10% google ads 10% pinterest 80% ppc
Depends on the product category & customer demographic. For example, in my Home Goods brand it's usually heavily weighted to pinterest. Tech/electronics leans Reddit. Outdoor/sports lean Google & RUclips.
Adam Heist I understand I think Pinterest will be good for me my product is in the home category and more for women thanks for the advice 👍🏻
No, you lose the amazon rank benefit that way.
Thanks Bro it's awesome.
👊
Thanks, Adam. A great tip regarding automation.
Cheers man! Glad you found that one valuable.
An easier way to add brackets for exact match in excel is to use the concatenate function
Will Google Ads allow this as you do not own the domain?
Wow really great content Adam! I really appreciate all the hard work you do, to create these videos.
My question is, When do you utilize Broad Match KW Campaigns? Just on the biggest main keyword roots?
You can run it on the full KW list if you want.
Muito bom tutorial me ajudou muito!
Obrigado.
👍
You channel is a damn gem. So much great info!
Thanks man!
great video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I’m running ads for amazon but having issues with tracking, would you still recommend the beta or is there another option to track conversions/sales. Thanks
You can now use amazon attribution...it's not perfect but solid.
Hey Adam! Have you run into any Trademark issues using “Amazon” and or “prime” in your 2-Day shipping ad extension. Mine said approved but “limited because of trademarks in ad text”.
I have not.
Hey Adam another question- how long do you typically have these run for? Until ranking/sales are where you want or what kind of metric/time do you look at? I appreciate you!
I've done both, but generally for ranking.
I don’t believe so
This is great, thanks Adam!
Glad you liked it!
You are amazing man
Thank you!
Hello, Great Video. Are you familiar with amazon attribution? If so, Can I use two-step URLs through amazon attribution? I set it up but am not getting any results on the dashboard. Thanks, Anthony
Yes, very familiar. I don't think you can; i use direct links into the google ad using the format from attribution. Cheers!
I actually wouldn’t use deep links any longer.
Sorry man...not sure. Just double check all the fields.
@@AdamHeist no worries! Figured it out. In your video it shows you putting multiple keywords in each field instead of one keyword per field. Excited to see how the site links work!
love it !
Thanks!
TIA.
I’ve never heard of that and never had issues with dozens of campaigns.
Unfortunately I'm not aware of a tool that does this.
Actually not sure. But that a good idea to target "amazon...".
Hello there Adam! Thank you very much for your amazing content... So admirable! I have a doubt, the text in the ads is the same for each Ad Groups (Match types)? Thanks!
It can be the same or you can mix it up. Depends on how you set it up. Hope that helps!
Thank you from Ukraine! :)
Thank you too! Rooting for Ukraine!!
Wow..🙂 extremely well explained .. thanks for your effort 👍🏻
I have a question 🙋♂️ can I use affiliate link on my own product and promote the product through Google ads 🤔?
I wouldn't as it's technically against TOS>
We do this but the conversion is nvr that great from google, so was hoping it doesn't affect organic by taking down the avg conversion in total. Any insight on this? Thx!
I'm fairly certain i cover this in the video.
@@AdamHeist Sorry, I’ll review, thanks much
Is this video still relevant with Amazon Attribution tags available now? Do we still need to send customers from google to a landing page first, and then to our amazon store/listing? Thanks!
No, i would use attribution now. We leverage ampd.io now to make this easier.
Wow great content. I think you need to do a course. Your stuff is outstanding and so forward looking.
Maybe one day! Thanks Will!
Damn man you can read my mind lol. I was searching on youtube how to do google ads just few days back. Took me half an hour to figure out how to switch to pro mode
Haha I did the same thing when i was learning. That scripted mode they default to is the worst!
Adam, great information. Question: do you use Google ads only for launches or do you also use them for ongoing brands that are already established and well ranked?
Jim Naaf both but primarily launches.
Perfect !!
Thanks Roz!
Man if I could inject my Facebook pixel somewhere in there!
I hear ya!
