Russia's President Vladimir Putin's visit to Vietnam has not gone down well in the West. The US is reportedly planning to strengthen its ties with Hanoi, following Putin's successful bid to strengthen ties with the Asian nation through a recent visit. Putin visited Vietnam as part of his two-day official state visits to North Korea and Hanoi. There, Vietnam and Moscow promised to deepen historic diplomatic ties.
