Faith Hill & Tim McGraw absolutely killed their roles, but Isabel May and Sam Elliot are the reason this show is an instant classic. This and 1923 are amazing watches
This was some of the best storytelling in film history! When the tornado wipes out the wagon trian!! The writing, the actors, the history!! I'll watch anything Taylor Sheridan ever does
0:15 - and there you go... what we need to get back too... she did not kill a man over a horse, she killed a man because he threatened her and her family's survival. Big damn difference.
My Gr. Grandma was born in Yuba CA in 1875 and migrated to Chicago, where my Grandfather was born in 1898. Wish I'd have talked to her more because even by train, which was complete by 1869, that was a hell of a trip. How those folks made that trip by wagon? WOW. After watching these clips I have to see the whole thing.
xD "Give me your horse." She already had the shotgun in hand why would you say anymore. The purse scene is one of the best. I loved Elsa's character, but her mom was a badass.
I like to think that Tim and Faith aren't really acting when they're talking to each other, and that that's how they communicate with each other, just with a written dialogue. That's why their chemistry is out of this world, cuz they're just being themselves and being a married couple.
Faith is one hell of a woman, Margaret too. So much talent wrapped up in one package, and to find someone who is equally talented as Tim what magic can be made ! Excellent casting instinct 👍
Ya the kinda better left in FICTION, cause she will ruin your peace. Trust me a boss Batch woman is cute to date around and be around for a while but soon all that upgrade to what common man call nagging
Women like this need their man to really see them. When she's doing for the babies, the family, her work, and everything else she needs a man with discernment! To notice when she's getting too weighed down and check and make sure she's alright. Only her own man can do it! She be able to tell if its half assed or not real. If you do this you'll have a woman that would walk through fire with you. Not too much too ask if you ask me.
I adore the crossover use of lines (and actors) across theses series. “I will stab you with this fork” seems to be a genealogical trait with the Dutton women ❤
Great series, one of my favorite parts is when Country Music Royalty Tim McGraws character asks (Country Music Royalty whos alias is 'Faith Hill's) character "where youre going?" In Faith Hills Character answers "Ah dont recall anything in our wedding vows about TELLING YOU EVER LITTLE THING I DO!!"
@@MichelleHood-m5m actually Wyoming in Nov 10 1869. Women were given right to vote, hold pubic office. . It was hard, it was recognized that they were needed as equal partners.
Damn, touched a nerve. I know what it's like to be cut on and sutured with no anesthesia. I learned as a child not to whimper when I was whipped, and I did not scream. I also never had an injury as severe as hers, but I have faced death many times. Goodnight from an old Curmudgeon.
I thought ( and still do ) that Faith Hill should have been at least nominated for an Emmy award. She just commanded every scene that she was in. Then I thought about it. She was playing the wife of a man that she has actually been married to for 30+ year. Was she that good of and actress or was she just being herself ? For sure I will be watching that next acting job she does.
Love the opening scene.. Idk Y a man sees a woman holding a gun and thinks he is still going to intimidate her. She gave him 10 seconds longer than I would’ve.
Anyone know what streaming service this and Yellowstone are on? I have a jail broken fire stick and can't find it for some reason. Please don't pick on me. I'm trying to learn, but I'm still not an internet professional by any means.
I still dont understand the Dutton family tree throughout the series, 1923 and Yellowstone. Margaret Dutton is John Dutton's great grand mother? Who is John, their son? And Spencer Dutton, long wated son by his elderly parents? I assume he arrived in time to save Yellowstone.
Tom hanks wife was the shop keeper faith got drunk with. I do think I saw Tom in the show too dressed like a soldier. There are a lot of kinda hidden stars in these shows. Loved all the shows & I am not a country girl fan…. But…. I am now!!! 💕
This was the role she was always meant to play! Isn't fuq a german word? And I'm pretty sure it wasn't a thing in America until ww2....I'm open to correction.
I did not like her character at all. She sentenced her daughter to death by forcing her to wear that dress. She was just slightly less bitter than her sister in law.
9:25 She WOULD HAVE regretted it if she had been pregnant and that boy would have said he WASN’T going to help her raise a baby and he would have left her, WHICH most likely would have happened then AND now. But it wasn’t written that way.
Isn't it amazing how notn a single one of those characters feel like they are stealing and invading someone else's land. They just act as if they were at home.

Were such a wonderful surprise for their parts.
But Faith's acting as a pioneer mother was my favorite
Hoping we get a season 2 of 1923. Hooked as fas as 1883 as soon as I knew Sam Elliot was in it - his voice is yummy LOL
I totally agree with you!
I agree. Cant add anything to this comment. Ive watched the series countless times
Donde la puedo ver
She played her character so well! Hope she does more westerns in the future!🤠
1883 ranks among the best series ever made. It was absolutely captivating.
Margaret is the best female Dutton. Anyone else agree?
Elsa is my fav. But Margaret is a very close second ❤
I feel privileged to be able to watch the snippets of 1883. It is professionally entertaining.

I have never seen this scene where they had to rip the arrow out of Elsa and cauterize the wound, brought tears to my eyes. Amazing acting
1923 had the worst cliffhanger in cinematic history and 1883 had the worst ending. Both were gut wrenching.
1:28 "Ma'am I get-- Ma'am I get your point ma'am" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And the last whack she gives him before she goes is just priceless
Tim, Faith and all actors in this series nailed it! ❤

No Pioneer women had this life. It was much harder and they died like flies.
Some women died in childbirth and some had to be strong for their children and husbands, they didn't have the right to vote or own land.
