Kudos to all the fans who volunteered to put in countless hours over months and months to make this happen - it's brilliant to see Bury playing football at Gigg Lane again and to such a large, noisy crowd. Great work from the media team on getting the slick highlights up on RUclips so quickly too - this doesn't feel like the 9th tier of football! Fourth goal 🔥.
Did I notice the Lenny Johnrose Stand? I've not lived in the UK for 13 years, so I'm not sure if that's a new thing or not.
UTS great start to the season
Come back stronger!
Up the #shakers !
Watching all the way from Australia, absolutely delighted with the result , wonderful to see Gigg Lane restored and shining like a beacon. Congratulations to Andy and the lads, keep it going. Truly amazing to see the crowd, must be a record for this league. And a big thank you to all the volunteers, you helped to make it a truly special day. UTS.
This group of players will be part of history and even more so when they achieve promotions like the Wimbledon players who helped the club back into the EFL. 👏👏
Boro fan here, congratulations to Bury for the win but most importantly for being back where they belong.
Blackburn fan here. Great to see Bury back alive and back at their home. I went over 4 years ago in the promotion season. Will be attending again. Over 5000 for the 9th tier is insanely good.
I've been checking the channel about once an hour all evening waiting in anticipation for the highlights. Great to have the club back. Great result too.
Glad you enjoy it!
Good to see, felt for Glossop on a hiding to nothing today. Bury too big for this division. Coventry City fan btw. We were one bad season from non league in 2017. You'll be back soon enough.
This is truly wonderful to see you back at home. Bless you Bury - from an Ipswich Town fan
How was that, Grandad !!!!! I know that you watched from it from high.
Glad to see Bury are on their way back, wishing them all the best. What happened to them should never happen to any football club, credit to all the fans who've made it possible for you to compete in the pyramid again, and who lifted the club from the ashes. Hopefully in 10-15 years time you'll be back in your rightful place in League 1, but more than anything you've got your football back at Gigg Lane.
So proud of you lads. Greetings and congrats from your faithful first-hour member living in Rome, Italy. COYS forever.
All the best from all the fans at NCFC who having had our own fair share of troubles, wish you nothing but success!!!!
COME ON BURY GOOD START

Although I'm a lifelong Arsenal fan (an Aussie who lives 'Down Under' & left his G/F of 8 years for the UK to follow them back in '98, & although we trailed MUFC by 8 points when I arrived, we obviously won the EPL title & I was incredibly fortunate that at my first game at Highbury, we not only smashed Wimbledon 5-0 - with 5 different scorers - but went the top of the table as a result & never relinquished that position thereafter), my Uncle lives in Bury & is a lifelong 'Shaker' (Tim Barnes - he actually received a mention in the programme for this game, as it was his b'day 2 days ago) & thus I've been thoroughly kept up-to-date re: all of the dramatic goings-on with the club over the past few years...& I just have to say that I'm SO incredibly happy, nay moved, by this phenomenal comeback by Bury FC (AFC just never sat right with me but was completely necessary at the time, of course) both on the pitch & in many ways even more importantly, off it & I'm so incredibly proud of, & moved by what YOU GUYS, THE FANS, have achieved thus far...I regularly followed the live score for this game online on the weekend just passed & I actually had tears of joy in my eyes a number of times throughout the game as a result...may the good times continue & may the mighty 'Shakers' keep on progressing as they have over the past few years...my sincere congratulations to ALL of you fantastic Bury FC fans, the true heart & lifeblood of both this wonderfully historic club & English football...Matt Forrester. PS. Apologies re: my verbosity here, btw!!
Good luck from Bulgarian AFC Wimbledon fan
Well done bury on yr return, and a great attendance, good luck for yr new history, Kevin pne fc fan
Bury need to do things like Hashtag United and Bunch of Amateurs/Dorking Wanderers (and Wrexham to a point have done) by doing your own documentary of each match/a lot of them incl the manager etc I think could make a big difference for increasing the fan base outside Bury & telling this great story.
Not only is there a stream of income from the club from RUclips from it, but it will bring in a worldwide fan base which means the club would have the advantage of selling more merchandise eg replica shirts worldwide. You really need to get on that before too many football clubs clock on to the idea, because they will.
I’m a Bradford City fan and it was the story of Bury and seeing you had live streams (another potential income source once you do documentary style vids) and just the fact the club had these vids is the reason I still watch. Not sure i will watch every game like I do with Hashtag or Dorking and looks like Walton & H are doing it too. But Bury already have a great story, you need to get on the RUclips documentary road asap. It will really help you get funds to get through the leagues that you won’t be able to get alone.
Good luck Bury!
Lovely to see you guys back at Gigg Lane and hope to see you guys back in the Football League in the not too distant future. Well done :)
congratulations from canada

5451
@@smileandwave1390i got told it was unofficially 5452 as one more came through after the final count
What is the highest level Bury played at? I read in the comments this is 9th tier fotball. Even for England this is crazy impressive!
Bury played at the top level of English football and even won the FA Cup twice. We're the record holders for the best final win (6-0 vs Derby County) and also the only team to ever win without conceding a single goal all tournament. In 2019 we were expelled from the football league so fans starter our own team, Bury AFC, another group of fans managed to get our ground back with help from the government and the two groups merged a few months ago. This team was to use Bury AFC's league position in tier 9 but allowed to continue in the name of Bury FC again. This was our first league game back as the newly merged Bury FC.
@@hughadam Thanks for the reply. All the best from a Red Star Belgrade fan in Canada.

Congrats on your first league game from an Exeter fan
5000 at Bury, maybe if they'd turned up in the past they could have avoided the mess.
It wasn't the fans fault they got kicked out of the league, it was the fat waste of space chairman UTS.
From a Chesterfield fan. Always remember Gigg Lane, a lovely ground where we always struggled. We also went through a bad patch but bounced back. Sincerely hope you do the same and with the support you have you’re halfway there. Good luck for the season. See you in the EFL😀
