Did you take lessons, or if self taught what were some resources that really helped with theory and fingerstyle?
I took a few years worth of lessons for electric guitar a while ago, that was for more shreddy/metal stuff. After I was done with that, I began gravitating more towards fingerstyle guitar because of the convenience of it, since I could never get a consistent hold of friends or bandmates who'd be free to play music, or they simply weren't interested.
There's no theory I can think of that wouldn't be beneficial for playing fingerstyle stuff in specific, so you can't go wrong. I like to approach it as simply as possible, though. I'd recommend memorizing the major and minor scale, then dragging and dropping it into different keys. The melodies, riffs, chords, etc of a song are commonly going to revolve around the notes you'll be playing in those scales.
Do you have the tab or music for this somewhere? I couldn't find it on your website, would love to have it if it's available, even to purchase!
