Dude I haven’t drove my car for probably like 3 months because of this issue, car lit up like a Christmas tree and I seen forums of the wires being visibly broken and mine wasn’t visibly broken so I was stuck not knowing where to go with the code. Til I seen your video, found the green wire broken under the sleeve and I’m fixing it now and hoping that all is well with the car. All thanks to your video, thank you so much !
Im not ganna lie had this problem it took me a long while to research it. Me taking my 2017 civic SI coupe to the dealership waited 2 days to get a diagnostic to reply and told me the repair is going to cost me 2100.00 no joke and told me it is the whole wiring harness meanwhile I didn't know what to do. So i put my car in the garage using my backup car and researched again til i came across this video so as instructed check the continuity and hazza it was the green wire that was bented so now it runs like it should be and no check engine light! I thank yoy for this video saved me 2100.00 out of pocket!
Awesome glad it worked!
Thanks, 250k on my 18 Si. Finally had this happen. Your video saved me a ton of time and $.
Hey man, thank you very much for the video. I've been researching this issue for a while but you're the first and only actual video with steps taken that addresses the problem. You're a lifesaver! Liked and subscribed, bro.
Thank you g, years later and you just saved another person's wallet ❤
P0035, green wire was in fact not connected when I did the test. Appreciate the help; saved money/time not going to the dealer!
How did your car run/drive with this issue? Would it lack power and go into limp mode?
Thank you so much for this. Was able to find loss of signal. My wire broke in the harness and now car is fixed
Hey man thanx so much for this video. You saved my life bro. I had my car tuned using Hondata and ever since I left the Dyno my car has been running funny and I've been getting all warning lights constantly. I recently switched to KTuner and immediately that code popped up which wasn't showing up in my Hondata. I searched some videos and came across this one. Sure enough the green wire was completely disconnected from the plug. I soldered the wire like you said and my car is back in business. 💯💯💪🏻💪🏻 Thank you man.
I don't want speak too soon, but I think this video just helped me fix my P0035. Mega thanks! 👏🙌
Got scared I blew up my turbo after tunning it 3 days ago. Didn't get a proper look at the cable but I unplugged it, made sure nothing backed out, then twisted it a little tighter, then pushed it back in. Not gonna end the issue but it'll take care of it for now until I get myself a new soldering iron. Great video btw!
Awesome Glad to know that your turbo is fine.
Bro, exactly what I was looking for!! I tried to remove those terminals from the connector, but could not for the life of me...
Awesome, the connector may be tricky to pull apart. Hopefully you were able to get it done!
Any tips to how remove the wire from inside the terminal ???
Huge thanks to you. I had just installed flex fuel 2.5 tune, cai with large maf shortly after all lights come on. I unplug that connector u mentioned and the green wire is sliced 😂 fixed the green wire warning lights are gone and car is running like a champ.
awesome glad it worked, be sure to share with other Civic SI owners!
bro i thought i just detonated my engine or something this is an easy fix tho:)
hope you were able to get it fixed!
Where can I find that plug!? What is it actually called so I can get a different one. Please help!
What about the Honda crv? It’s a 1.5l turbo and I’m having a solenoid problem but u replaced the solenoid and im having it still!
nice video john. it helped me fix my check engine light.
We already China rigging these SMFH This is what gives Honda owners a bad name
My 2018 Si with a K-Tuner street tune (25psi)/Cold air is also throwing P0035, on top of U0401-68 ( Invalid data recievedf from PCM) and U3003-16 (EPS Conttrol unit internal Malf). Hopefully this fixes both of those too. I'm hoping it does. Anyone else with this problem?
only real way to find out is by testing the connection form the plug to the PCM Harness, make sure to move it around to see if their is a break in the wire
I have a ecoboost
mustang, and im going to try this causw i do have a pinch that i noticed and gonna try it myself
Good job man i have the same problem too will try to fix it myself!
Hey how do you test the yellow wire? I think that's the one that's broken on mine
Hey Johny I have the same codes popping off, I don’t know what do, I have tried everything I’ve hanged the 5 pin harness, the solenoid , checked the green wire for continuity,it’s been over a week and still can’t find anything, slowly losing my sanity
make sure your pins are make a solid contact. It could be that you may very light continuity. Make sure that you wiggle the wire and see if it breaks the continuity. Otherwise check the surrounding connectors or wiring as well.
So my car when accelerating goes in a limp mode if I try to hit too much boost. I see all the comments talking about them being scared about the turbo being blown or something but is this what would fix my issue? I was being told it was my intercooler which I don't think it is because it's still fairly new. I can drive the car and map one perfectly fine but when I try to drive and map three that's when it has issues when building boost. Map one has issues building boost if I'm trying to drive it hard but it drives normal perfectly fine
Did it have only check engine light on or multiple warning lights ? Was the power steering working ?
I believe just check engine light, you may have a different issue if power steering is out, sounds like electric motor is out or wiring issue
Thank you Sir, very very helpfull.
glad it was helpful
@@johnybuilds1259 yes. I fix it. And yes isn’t obvious. You can miss it very easily… thanks to you, car is running fine !
hey I did this exact fix for my 2020 Honda Civic Si because I had those same codes but after driving the car around for a couple of miles the codes and system problems did not clear up ? do you happen to maybe know what else it can be ?
did you confirm that the repair was successful? use a multimeter to make sure that you are getting a solid connection. You will have what is called a permanent code for several miles until your car completes a full drive cycle, you may or may not still have a check engine light still on, however if you use a scanner, it should still clear it on the dash but should still show up on the scanner. You will know forsure if this fix solved the problem if error codes show up as permanent and not current, if it is still current that means their is still an issue and may not be the same fault, so keep looking. Let me know if this was helpful, you
it's not still covered under warranty??? 2020 is awful new to have that issue already, no?
@@lennysamatulski9456 it's not that how old the car is, it merely based on the amount of vibration that wire experiences, and every can can be different because of different road conditions and hwo poeple drive their cars etc.. . Im sure you can get warranty to fix it but they will replace the entire harness more then likely if it is torn.
Hey man, how did you get the wire back into the plug? Did you just push or what?
Do you happen to know the part number of the black connector?
I couldn't find the pig tail but here is the part number to the entire wiring harness, hopefully you can find one from here Honda part #: 06321-5BF-305
My son is having the same issue with his 2017 Si. not enough wire left to splice and solder so I have to purchase new terminals. BMotorsports.com has the terminals and the insulator seals and they sell the crimpers too. I had no luck with the correct pigtail plug but there are sites that are selling some of these similar plugs like for the injectors for instance for around $75!!! cheaper to repair, I'd say.
@@lennysamatulski9456 I bought a connector with the pigtails from Amazon. Removed the terminals from the new connector and put into old black connector. Good as new
@@jaybproductions4954 That’s a good idea, didn’t think of that but that site I mentioned has the parts and tools. I ordered them last night and I’ll make the repair myself l, it’ll be good to have a “B” style crimper anyways. Thanks for the video btw, it helped us find the problem!!!
@@lennysamatulski9456 hopefully the repair was a success!
is the othere wire located in the same place ?
what wire? in the large ecu connector? you would need to follow the wire and test it with a multimeter to confirm if you found the connection.
i was wondering where the yellow wire was connected but i found out it was the same wire that was causing the problem
but now i cant take out the wire i pulled the plastic but i cant pull it out
I did this twice but at the end of the day you gonna need to buy the whole thing brand new cuz Honda wires are just ass
would depend on your solder skills
What gauge is the wire connector ??
not sure, but maybe 16 Guage
I tried soldering the green wire, apparently P0035 still happening.
you need to check both wires, you must re solder where the break is otherwise you wont solve anything. Also you need to drive the car and reset your cars internal computers to clear the code as it will be a "permanent" code and not something you can erase with a scanner
@@johnybuilds1259 this fixed my problem. Apparently the other wire doesn't make any connections.
@@rollerchester1 Awesome Glad it helped!
Is your turbo making some weird noises when the code showed up ?
Like you can hear the turbo spooling but it just doesn't felt right ?
@@ikmalsomadani9970 no it was not, not that I recall
So I have the code P2565 dealer told me I got replace the electronic waste gate
What can be the issue here with the code ?
Just fixed this on my car. Green wire was ripped. Made the car drive like trash
